I have been in the office earlier on this afternoon and they are in the process of sending out the details for season ticket renewals.Maybe there will be some information on the situation with the ground in the literature.

Phil I am intreagued, what makes you state that the Lions will not own the stadium.? If you mean that we will be in partnership with other parties then I can see your reasoning but assuming it is to be a threeway partnership we would own a third.
Perhaps you are privy to information which the regular support isn't.
Merely recalling what John Kidd said at the last public meeting Alan, circa 12 months ago when he announced the move to LSV. In reply to a direct question John stated the facility would be owned by a seperate company and rented to the Lions. This is no different to the vast majority of the latest generation of stadiums, very few of which have been developed with private money (to my knowledge only Wigan and in part St Helens).
John went further and spoke about the benefit of this approach that the Lions themselves could go through financial problems but the stadium itself would not be threatened, i.e. asset stripping of the nature that beset Station Road could not happen.
£4.5m was the most recent quoted cost. Do you honestly believe the Lions are in a position to put in a third of that total themselves?
By intimating a 3 way partnership, something that has not been stated anywhere in the public domain, it is clear you are the one with inside knowledge on these things!

The Swinton board come on this site and look at our veiws, I still can't believe that after all the feedback we have given as in "give us some news" we have still heard nothing.
I understand there is a recession going on and council cuts and they have got the government breathing down there necks, if this is the reason why not moving fast then let us know. I would rather hear "we are no further on" at least I know where we stand as a club.
All this talk of the lack of info etc between the club and its loyal band of supporters reminds me of a well known quote from an old 1960s film many film buffs will recall.
In the 1967 film "Cool Hand Luke" starring Paul Newman, George Kennedy etc, Strother Martin's character (the prison's "Captain") famously proclaims "What we got here is... failure to communicate."

Phil you are spot on with the reasoning why the stadium would be held in a seperate trading company and rightly so however the differance between us and say Leigh or Salford is that as far as I know and everyone else knows the council won't be part of that company.Merely recalling what John Kidd said at the last public meeting Alan, circa 12 months ago when he announced the move to LSV. I'll now deal with your laughable comment that I have inside knowledge, I think also at one of the meetings John Kidd intimated that there were one or two interested partners and I am fairly sure that a number of fans already know of at least one of them. Please therefore retract that statement as it is totally false, yes i do ask John on a number of occasions is there any news as does other swinton fans and I get exactly the same response that things are progressing.
Do not therefore come on here suggesting I know any more than any other fan.......Your wrong.!!

Firstly you would need to get over your tendency to post such complete tripe as:
Perhaps you are privy to information which the regular support isn't.
aimed in my direction, which has no basis whatsoever. So can you please stop doing that, too.
What's laughable is to throw an accusation at someone, have it shown through clear evidence that this accusation was completely untrue, and then throw a paddy at nothing more than an equivalent suggestion - to which you can only offer a somewhat flimsy response!
So you have heard some rumours about a three way partnership and no council involvement in the stadium company. Please tell us the basis of your assertion that the council will not be involved. If true, that's not entirely a good move in my opinion and slightly concerning.
By the way YOU'RE definitely wrong - with YOUR grammar.

Seems my flimsy response hit the right spot and as for heard some rumours then Barnie and myself or I which ever you wish it to be, must mix in the same circles. The fact that your radar hasn't reached those circles is of no concern to me.
Strikes me Phil that your a little peeved that you are unaware of what may or may not be going on.

We all make little grammatical errors here Phil, even YOU (and me too?). Although your command of the English language in its written form is of a very high standard, you do have one little common error which I've noticed from time to time. It is (it's) when you use the word "its" instead of "it's" (it is).
"It's" e.g., It's a nice day (It is a nice day)
"Its" e.g., The dog wagged its tail

Consistency clearly isn't your strong point, Alan.
Which of these is your true view doesn't bother me, but you are making yourself look stupid.
If you read through replies from numerous regular contributors to this thread alone it is clear MANY people are wishing for better communication on all matters Agecroft.Gossip, tittle tattle, rumour, speculation, hearsay - call it what you will, doesn't interest me. I hear some occasionally but give it no credit.
What we need is proper information with a firm basis and there hasn't been any of that for roughly 12 months, which is poor.

This is silly. Typing on phones and computers leads to the wrong word being used because spell check doesnt work when the word is right but the context is wrong. Apostrophes are the work of the devil.
As for evidence well we all know that it can be ignored by opinion, otherwise John Terry and OJ Simpson would have been convicted.
Oh and Philh would have admitted he was wrong about Cunniffe and Gorskis Leigh careers bearing comparison. (joke Phil.)
Now back to the topic in question.
I will watch Swinton wherever and whenever. Its twenty years since Station Rd and we havent given up yet.
I understand the frustration from our fans. It is a dream we all want to come true.
I was told by a local and prominent dignitary last summer that it will. So I wait on in optimistic hope.

Ok Phil I bow to your clear superiority and from now on will no longer listen to anyone bar officials of the club and will reprt back to you for clearance.Consistency clearly isn't your strong point, Alan.
