As the torch is passing the gates of OUR home ground think it would be great
if we stood and watched it pass and give our support
This is a once in a life time opportunity for young and old so
Lets have a good turnout with our shirts on and hopefully the young teams of Rochdale rugby will
join us and who knows the football supporters may come too
Get Spotland on the map :)

Too right Wendy, I'll be there to get it videoed, after all I'll never see it again.

By the way, did anyone see that the early football game was held up for an hour for torrential rain?? They call it light drizzle in Lancashire, these football types need a bit of hardening up.

To be fair it was held up for an hour because of lightgning in the immediate vicinity and having watched the game the referee made the right decision in my opinion.for the safety of the players AND the supporters.

Presumably rugby league fans are immune from being struck by lightning, or is it just that they are so few and far between that the chances of being hit are much less than in a football crowd?

I'm not allowed a bit of a joke on here, the usual suspects just grab it like a dog grabs some 4-day-old roadkill and makes as much mileage out of it as they can.

I'll have to start using these emoticons just to let people know what I mean eh??

Reading my July copy of rugby league world and notice that the Welsh Champion Schools final was "delayed by a FEW WEEKS due to rain"

Those footballers were not so soft after all :D
