plenty of positives to take out of the game cracking effort from the squad sounded very threatening in attack and hopefully no new injuries picked up also sounds like the 2 new dual reg players went ok as well allround good effort.

Really enjoyed today, thought you brought a decent following who were in full voice throughout and plenty of tries to entertain. I was really pleased to see Barrow are getting on well considering everything that happened, you've got a very good squad and like a few of you have said if you weren't plagued by injuries it may well have been a completely different game, but anyway I wish you luck with the rest of the season and hope to see you in the Championship next year!

Yes we very much hope so. For myself living in York it was my first time watching our regenerated team and was very impressed with our skill/energy
and above all spirit. Fax had more weight and speed of movement, especially from dummy half..
Ref Stokes should have received mom award !!!

Don't know if any one agrees but if we could get a result like that with the team we have against the top of the championship, it stands us in good stead for next season. Thought we had a good game. Ref didn't help but thats not taking anything away from Fax.
Just a note to Halifax. Get your bar sorted out !! You lost a couple of hundred quid yesterday.

We fully sympathise re. the bar. Unfortunately the stadium is owned by the council and they gave EMC the catering contract. Overpriced and ###### service hence most supporters go to local pubs until 5 minutes before kickoff.

Good for the local pubs though. We all went to The Three Pigeons for an hour after the game and they must of made a bit off us.

Very enjoyable day out yesterday and a good performance by whole the team. I thought that the two new dual reg did very well and will be great additions to the team.
Halifax have a good set of fans and I would like to wish them luck in the rest of the NRC competition.

It's funny isn't it, everyone who was not at the game (guys at work) says we got stuffed by Fax?
From where I was standing we gave a great performance and asked a lot of questions about Fax.
They looked very worried IMO apart from the last 10 minutes and a couple of blatent forward passes.
Mike Sunderland gave a great overview of the game when he presented the MOM after the game in the Fax players lounge. Although the fax compere was a born comidian and took the p**S a little bit. Fare dues to Mike he didn't let that bother him and gave a good account of the Raiders performance.
Dan Toal was the Raiders Supporters Club MOM. OK he's not a great speaker (Who is, apart from Holty n' Acky) but he does his stuff on the pitch.
For all those who were not there buy the DVD or watch it on Sunday before the match in the Raiders Bar.
The Truth is Out There!
PS - Karl Harrison is not as scary as he he looks, I'd have 'im no problem

Pete Emmett is the compere I think you are referring to and yes he is a comedian who does the after dinner circuits and is well known in RUgby League circles especially as he works a fair bit with the likes of Terry O´Connor, Paul Sculthorp, Steve Prescott e etc. He takes the pis out of many people from Billy Slater when Melbourne played Fax a few years ago down to Sundays game, but no harm is intended and is a top bloke who does a lot of work not just for halifax but the game in general.
Barrow have every right to be proud though Fax were not seriously worried I feel as I expected Barrow to battle to 60th minute before the extra fitness and class shone through which it did. Hopefully we will see Barrow and the many fans back where they belong in the championship next year.
