Club of the year - Cowling Harlequins????? How on earth have they won that. Won 1 game out of 16 conceded over 1000 points scoring only 126. Thornhill who run 2 teams both went undefeated in their respective leagues, 1st team runners up in Yorkshire cup, national cup qtr finals, Andrew Bennett memorial trophy winners, and a player who scored the most individual points out of all the teams in every division get the chairmans trophy is absolutely outrageous.

Easy at the top and it takes some team to fulfill all their sixteen league games only winning one scoring 112 points with 1,102 against, and they do keep their website up to date which is more than Thornhill :( and Cowling did have one player who scored more tries and one who scored the same amount of tries as the pennine leagues top points scorer if the amount of tries scored given at the presentation night is correct.

It's sometimes good to honour the efforts of the minnows in difficult circumstances. This might give them the impetus to move off the bottom next season.

How many points were scored by Micheal Sanderson? Also ya say it's easy at the top, why did Mark Robinson get coach of the year if it's so easy at the top?

The committee that selected where these awards went must have thought that he deserved the award on merit and I suppose a few of us can build a reason why our club/player/committee should have won (Including us with no ex-NCL Players and 1 x Ex-Pro) one of the Pennine League awards selected by the committee.

It isnt often i agree with what Marauder puts but he is spot on here. When so many teams seem to give up games in both winter and summer for a team to seem to struggle like they have the award could be richly deserved.

It wasnt that long ago Thornhill were struggling and it looks like things are looking up there, enjoy that dont be bitter about a stuggling team winning something

Not bitter mate but the Thornhill coach wasn't happy as the team and club got about 5 seconds of recognition which is wrong with what the players and staff achieved this season.

Cowling, team of the year, Silsden division champions, fair play award, Keighley, club person Keighley. This must be the most vibrant Keighley amateur scene in many years. The Keighley Cougar Clubs are also doing well. Congratulations to all.

Thornhill got a lot more than any 5 seconds and I don't want to get into the politics of other teams but lets be truthful, Thornhills squad is littered with guys with a lot more experience at professional/NCL that just about any other squad in the Pennine League outside of the Premier.

Excellent side and I'm sure you'll be collecting many more trophies in the future.

Going to be a right mix up with a few of the Yorkshire league sides coming across as well but I'd expect you lot to go for the new league BARLA are proposing.

BARLA are looking at operating a league for the better sides that are left in the winter season and there is also a few NCL sides who are showing interest in moving back to winter.
