Half time 18-12 to Manly.

Some tough calls here against Storm who were 12 points up.

Cherry-Evans was awarded a try that was benefit of the doubt, however the ball was lost by him and should have been a No Try.

Then Manly were given possession in the Storm 20 for an adjudged forward pass from Storm, called by the crowd which was clearly not forward.

So the scoreboard said 12-12 which in the end is literally what counts.

Then Glenn Stewart was helped off the field with what looked like a serious knee injury. Rather than holding on for half time Masnly pressed Storm's right hand side and a huge gap opened up between Nielson and Duffie to let Manly through under the sticks.

Storm had the initiative, Manly have responded.
All to play for in the second half.
Massive home crowd found their voice once their team got some points on the board.

The game went largely with possession and territory as you'd expect.
Storm took back the initiative in the second half building a little cushion of points that saw them through to a very creditable win at Brookvale.
Manly threw it about at the end and were rewarded with a try, but it turned out to be too little and too late.
Man of the match was Cameron Smith backing up from Origin, though it was about 5 days ago.
It was Gareth Widdop in the event who took the full back role today and he played the part well.
The difference in the end apart from the score was probably Storm's organisation and method.

The stats of the game apart from the score were pretty even.
Possession - 50/50
Manly more metres gainned, Storm more hit-ups.
Final Score:
Sea Eagles 22 - 26 Storm
