If you are reading this is you are welcome to enter.
There's seven games again in this week.
It's the turn of Warriors and Sharks to have byes.



Entries are allowed each week up until the kick off of the first game in the round
The first game this round is on Friday 22nd June

ROUND 16 QUESTIONS:

Which game will produce the highest total of points scored by the two teams?

The poll is anonymous so we can't give you credit unless it is in your predictions post.
Now for the main event of the week:
*Match Tipping Competition:
Name the 7 (that's SEVEN) winning teams in NRL Round 16 2012
*Points Competition
How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in R16?
This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.
*Away Win Competition:
How many AWAY wins will there be in NRL R16 2012?

In rounds where the game is on the road and played at a neutral venue, the team named first in the fixture will be regarded as the home team for the purposes of this competition.

They're off! Friday's R16 results:

Dragons 8 - 6 Titans - Home Win Points Total 14 - Ugly win with Dragons needed two late penalty goals to get a win in this one
Broncos 26 - 12 Rabbitohs - Home Win Points Total 38 -
Considering how much possession Broncos had they didn't look like they would get a comfortable win.
For the most part of the game the Bunnies defence worked well. Brisbane grabbed a few late points to make the win look more comfortable than it looked for the most part.
Just on a personal note I thought the reffing was woeful at times.
Broncos given a penalty near line as Rabbitohs adjuded to have stripped the ball on a last tackle when at normal speed the Broncos player was trying to offload.
Then a Broncos try where the last two passes were clearly forward.
As a neutral I've no axe to grind, and I thought the Broncos did enough for their win anyway.
Two refs on the field, linesmen and a video ref (who can't be brought in for forward passes anyway) and still reffing errors, in my opinion, made.

Well we've generally had mixed fortunes this round.with some close calls and some possibly unexpected landslide wins.
As we go into the last game which kicks off in half an hour or so, there's just one tipster with all tips so far correct.
He like the majority of us has gone for a Tigers victory (Kiwityke).
There's just one dissenting voice going for a home win for Knights.

Roosters v Eagles 66 points will surely be our game with the highest points total of the round - Knights v Tigers can't eclipse that, can it?

What an odd round that was especially on the points front.
We ran the gamut of outcomes there: from a long bit of extra time for a golden point win, to some well above average points totals in some games.
The way the Tigers folded under the Knights onslaught made it look like that 66 points in the Roosv Eag game would be surpassed.


Well played Knights, that week off really recharged their batteries. They turned the tables on Tigers who by the end must have welcomed the final whistle.

Well done Kiwityke, thought you were on for a full house until the Tigers collapsed!

Knights got into gear and steamrollered Tigers whose spirit seemed to evaporate.
Good to see the Newcastle crowd still vocally behind their team even when they were 14 points down and looking to continue their poor run.
Their reward was to see their team expose holes in the Tigers' defence and score plenty of points without any reply from Tigers until some small consolation near the end.
