One of our 1965 Wembley immortals sadly passed on.When hookers were proper hookers and you needed to win scrums Prior was one of the best to get you possesion. What a pack that was Hartley,Prior,Eyre, Ramsey,Gunney,Ward.Sadly we will never see a Club outside SL ever getting a forward line up like that again.

R.I.P. Bernard a great player in a great team. I don't think you'll see a club pack the like of that again inside Super League never mind outside it.

i think kenny eyre is still going strong, i used to play him at squash years ago.Dennis Hartley was in the Phoenix Bar last year,Fred Ward still comes to re-unions, Geoff Gunney is still down to the ground from time to time and i beleive Bill Ramsey is still active.Sadly then Bernard is the 1st of that great pack to depart.
