Was brilliant for us for a couple of seasons but injuries affected him badly from then onAnnounced his retirement from rugby league today.
A joy to watch at his best and some memorable moments playing for us.

Sad to see his having to retire - that's a major blow to Rochdale's now diminishing chances of getting promoted out of Championship One this season.

I am also sorry to hear that Phil has retired - he also was one of the players I would not have "let go" - a good player, controlled the play the ball area and was dangerious with the ball in hand...............
