From 'Love Rugby League' website: Wakefield's new stadium approved by the Secretary of State yesterday + work on York City Knights new 6,000 capacity stadium to commence within a matter of weeks.

What chance any progress on Whitebank or, for that matter, on Boundary Park?

Will Oldham EVER have a stadium fit to promote rugby and soccer to a wider audience?

Twelve years or more since 'Sports Park 2000' and we've gone backwards!

Just been approved for a £450,000 upgrade for Derwent Park at Workington to cater for two of Scotland's World Cup games in 2013. Bulk of the money from the British Energy Coast and local council covering shortfall.
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

This town is a complete embarrassment.
They find grants for art galleries.
Money is blown on trams which have just about given us back what was there in 1850 something.
I saw a tram leaving Hollinwood for Mumps the other day @ 8.45am with 1 person on it.Still when it stops outside the dole office there should be more takers.
yet All the time we keeping hearing of other towns replacing or upgrading sports grounds. Not Oldham.Half demolished Boundary park and downtown Limeside where the scrotes have one thing on their scum minds,a big bonfire.
You can stick a fork in this towns backside and turn it over.......because it's done.
