With Leeds Carnegie for a bit of kick and clap by the sounds of it!

Should Kear have a go for him before he crosses to the dark side?

Absolutely not. Would he add anything significant to our line-up? I doubt it!

We've lost Daley Williams by the sound of it. Wouldn't Senior add a bit more depth to the centres? Plus, even as well as they're both playing at the moment (absolutely superb in my opinion), Maun and Walton may be given that little extra bit of a push.

Before he RETURNS to the dark side you mean - started rugby life as a very good RU backrower with Huddersfield YM I believe.

Be a good signing for anybody who could afford him - which rules out you and us.
I think with the few players who have been released/left we could probably make up his wages!

Am thinking in terms of value for Money. I guess he would be expensive. Would it disrupt and unbalance the side? Long term would his signing enhance the team? If a short term buy, would that be of benefit to players like Maun and Walton? personally I would not go for him!

It'd warrant a trip to Mount Pleasant by Calendar news!

Absolutely for real. First, where is the guarentee that he would rip up anywhere. When was the last time he played? Read my second post on the subject regarding value for money. I do not see the point of taking him on for half a season. What would he offer the club for the amount of time he is here?

I am sure he does, however, in an open and democratic society, I was merely expressing an opinion. I would be interested to know which individual players would represent good value for money at our club for that kind of money.

Dont think he would add a couple of hundred to the gate to offset his home and away fees at that!!

I don't know the going rate for pay per play. But I do think someone like Senior offers much more than simple a performance on the field.
You have to work out the value he would add to bringing the young players along and the PR value he would inevitably bring.
But I think not only his price tag would bring the club serious issues - His level of commitment would be in doubt I think. Can anyone really imagine him putting his body on the line against young kids at Fev out to prove a point for a grand and half?

Not only the very good points you have added, but this issue of commitment is really important. Hasn't he publicly stated that he would never drop down to the Championship? This suggests a lack of respect for the competition? I simply do not see any real advantages in it for a club like Batley.
Also, Batley's recruitment strategy over the last few years would suggest that it is not their policy to recruit older SL players coming to the end of their careers.

He's not exactly Wally Lewis though is he?
Believe what you see, don't see what you believe.
