I admit, I rubbed my eyes a few times tonight watching us play Fax, I just was not convinced it was Dewsbury playing!

We looked sharper, more enthusiastic, slicker and despite a few dodgy calls by the ref much better than Halifax.

Fair enough we lost, but the effort was there. At times we looked simply awesome!

Great game by all accounts, just wish Austin would've passed....(But that's a different thread)

I was very pleased with the team performance if not with the outcome. I didn't see the TV version, having to settle for the real thing, so wasn't privileged to analyse the analysis but I left with the distinct impression that the ref and video ref did us no favours. Failing to sin-bin the 'Fax player for a professional foul was simply incomprehensible, but these things do seem to happen to us when we're under the cosh.

We took the game to them and produced a number of excellent individual performances as well as a clearly committed team performance. On that showing no-one could reasonably criticise the coaching. The difference that showed was that, on the occasions that mattered, 'Fax were clinical and we were not - quality and experience shows at times. We conceded a couple of woeful tries and dropped far too much ball on occasions (funnily enough with SL-experienced players being the guilty parties). We now need to turn in a showing like that against the likes of York and demonstrate that we don't just get motivated for individual matches.

Crossley and Cosgrove were the standout players for us whilst Penky Wicka wove his magic spells a couple of time for them.
Believe what you see, don't see what you believe.

I went to the match and also saw it on tv ,some questionable decisions made by both ref and video ref
even the commentators sounded surprised at some of the out comes.
Totally agree much improved team performance was good to see.Thought our pack was outstanding.
Spice and Tonks took the game to Halifax in both
attack and defence but great team effort from all the lads.
