Here HereI"m afraid it was same old, same old last night Ian.We make the stupid mistakes, miss the 1 on 1 tackles and concede every time.Classic example was at the start of the 2nd half.We go in 2 points adrift at half time(slightly fortunate as they had trys ruled out).Must have been a positive team talk.We go out at the start of 2nd half ,Nath Freer gives a stupid needless penalty away (which was down to laziness). They go the length of the field and score. After that it was prety much one way traffic.Apart from John Davies and James Ford, nobody for me looked up for it last night. The ground was devoid of any atmosphere whatsoever, punctuated only by Eagles supporters calling for players to be sent off every single time we gave a penalty away.A poor poor night all round for me.Just hope the boys sort them selves out for friday night.Definately a game we can win if the players show the right attitude.

We should be looking to get a coach in now,and not leave it till the end of the season. There is plenty of recruiting to do if we are to avoid relegation next season.
That's what Rammo said in the Press and I have to agree, the new coach will want his own players in, 7 games is long enough for him to see what he has and who he would like to keep.

It was mentioned on another thread that it didn't seem as though many Knights fans were going to Sheffield. It has also been stated many times that because of the economic climate fans are attending less matches. This is undeniable. but I fear that another reason why attendances are down, particularly at away games, is because we appear to possess a disengenuous bunch of players at the moment who for whatever reasons are not worth the petrol money alone.
Like other fans I am still waiting for this team to prove me wrong, but a home win against arguably the third worst side in the division is not enough. I always remember a chat I had with the late St. John Ellis who said that bottle and pride was everything. St John maybe wasn't everybodys cup of tea but like many others who have donned the York shirt he always gave 100% effort. I think he may have been dismayed to say the least at our current crop of players.

My sentiments too Deano. We could have the best coach in the world but you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.i don't believe any pro or amateur just go through the motions.rl is a tough game played by hard men, just some are better than others and that is the case here.class separates the good from the not so good, and the fact is we are not good enough, same with every team at or near the bottem

I would prefer it John if you and Deano were correct on this one, a poor side out of their depth rather than as I suggested a lack of sincerity. But I dont think its as clear cut as you seem to suggest. Its not long ago that many fans repeatedly made the assertion that on paper we have a good side, and certain players have reinforced this view in successive Press interviews.
Maybe its just a mixture of the two?

I went on to the souths logan magpies website and the first headline reads "same pattern of great start but bad second half sees souths well beaten by norths" It sounds just like us!
It's time to park the camels.
