That video didn't show the bad elbow Leigh's No 18 did on tattos 10. Shocker, beyond me how 3 officials missed it. Apart from that was a tough game with plenty of chances. And from what was said in the club after tatto had 5 second teamers in! Fair play

Never seen linesmen so involved but never indicated any decision against the home team, the chubby one was especially good, told one of the East helpers to ''F@*% off'' during the game, this guy is in his late fifties and and quiet, and said coming off ''your teams ######'' very impartial. And i think it was FIVE tries dissallowed, i was a few yards from one and it was a deffo try but the linesman said touch.

I can agree with you there Pluto to the fact the touch judges where very involved, but in my opinion they had to cause it was only a matter of time before a tatto player had hid head took off, I'm sure at one stage the east lads forgot how to tackle below the chin!!! I didn't see most of the dissallowed tries, but the one I did see was the 18 knocked on under the posts.

You saw a lot that day Bruce but ya didn't see most disallowed tries ?? I watched that a few times now and I think I counted 4 disallowed. You sound like you suffer from that selective viewing syndrome, it's terrible i feel for you. I wasn't at the game myself which is why I asked the original question about how many was disallowed. the highlights don't show high shots but if that's the case then there's no excuse for it even if the east lads became increasingly frustrated with the officials.

I was at the game boselecta and I was just stating that the touch judges were on very often due to the high shots which were through out the game, all be it I can agree that frustration does get the better sometimes. Regarding the tries, from what I could see the officials between them had decent views of the ones they disallowed so they must have had decent reason to disallow them. It was a bit stop and start at times but a decent game all the same.

I acknowledge that Thatto Heath did get the rub of the green with decisions on the weekend, but in my opinion East's discipline on the day was not up to the standard of the club of their stature. They seemed very keen to blame the officials for their shortcomings. You mention that the touch judges didn't get involved in any decisions in East's favour but I'd challenge you to come up with an incident from a Thatto Heath player that warranted their input.

The elbowing incident that is mentioned by Bruce further up the page was a shocker and thankfully no serious harm was done to our player and that was the only incident of that seriousness but I'm afraid that you a wearing rose tinted glasses if you don't acknowledge that East were a least in part the architects of their own downfall with the persistent petty offences. The lad who got sent off had to have thrown 2 of the softest punches you have every seen but with what had gone on before the referee had no option whatsoever but to send the lad off, otherwise the game would have boiled over and a potential ugly incident was avoided.

I thought our lads maintained their discipline very well given the circumstances in what was a tough game with a significant number of players missing.
