will not be attending this one...in their greed york are requiring £5 for a child...so £48 for an hour & a half's possible entertainment is a liitle much
so kids are the future of the game....think york should have a re-think and hope they have a future

A fiver is greedy? Do you think York run their club on brass buttons?

Last time I took my son to Dewsbury it cost £7 for him to sit down (granted it was only £2 to stand).

Tell you what, come to the game and meet me at the turnstiles and I'll pay for your kids to get in. How's about that?

no i dont gav
but sometimes clubs after look at what is to be gained rather than lost.
like these 3 senarios
senario 1 i go to the match with my family costs £48 in,burgers & drinks £20..if im lucky, round it up too £70,80 mins entertainment then a 40 minute drive home...night out covering maybe 4 hours cost £80 including fuel...york recieving around £70 of that amount
senario 2 i go to the match with my family costs £28 for 2 adults, under 16's free,£20 on food & drink (£20 not spent on home games as too close to home)
£10 for petrol..night out £58..york recieve around £48
senario 3 drive straight home past the ground & listen on BBC radio york....money spent £0 (because were at york anyway)money into york's coffers...
zip,zero,nothing...its a hard way too look at things but rugby league fans are struggling as much as the teams..and without one you dont have the other.

The fact you have 4 children in tow obviously has a factor on your decision. I do not think £48 is bad for 6 people averaging £8 each to watch a game featuring your own team. Why should we give free entry to Under 16 visitors? Anyway they would be disappointed as we have no burger van any more, just meat pies.no i dont gav

lol the thought of paying £16 to have my ears bombarded by an 6 & 8 with the chorus of ''wheres the toilet ?,i want some chips,im bored,im cold,i wanna drink,is it home time yet ?,im tired''The fact you have 4 children in tow obviously has a factor on your decision. Understand a few lads playing for a couple of 'Friday shirts' in the reserves at Oldham on Thursday.
After the 2nd half last week, think there could be a couple of places up for grabs.
Think it will be a really hard game, I've only missed 1 game of any type this season & the way the
Rams played in the 1st 20 minutes at the start of the season against us is still the best rugby I have
seen from any side so far this season.

With all the disruptions over the last few days with players withdrawing thought we gave them a game, much better that the away game my M.O.M was Bush with Davis a close second.

Agree with your MOM's, John. Esposito looked promising in his short stint, George Elliott continues to impress and over anxiety late ( and to some extent, that ruddy dual-registration ) on cost us a win.
I'm still trying to work out why the ref took so much flak post-match because, though not a great fan of his, I've seen far, far worse officiating this season. Thought James Craven and Steve Crossley were superb for the Rams.
Does anybody else besides me and Mark Aston think that DR should be banished to the outer rings of Saturn ??

First 2 tries from the Rams were due to officialdom errors. The first try was from a 2 metre forward pass in front of the ref and touch judge. The second try was after the ref gave the Rams another set of six following dropped ball from their passes (which we never touched) in our own 20 zone. That was shocking! His 10's were very erratic and players were always in front of him whether he took them back 8 or 10 and at one time took us back 15 as got his line markings mixed up. Also, blowing the whistle too early for tap penalties, when it was impossible for all defenders to be back 10 from the tap when he was barely over the 20 himself. Thought he was better 2nd half though, as were touch judges.Agree with your MOM's, John. Although I thought we handled their strong runners quite well and made decent yards going forward I think we made far too many errors in the final third of the pitch so early in the tackle count. Got to say John Davies was brilliant as usual and wasnt it great to see Bushy back in the team, where Tansey fits now is a tough decision. Hate to say it but with Danny Nicklas playing I feel we would of got the result.
