Finally a game at the Mount! Hope big Al and Keegan come on after 15/20mins and make mince meat of Leigh. At their best they are epic!
Also heard we are signing a winger! We have 3 of the best in the league. We need a centre that will make Potts into a points machine.

Bring him on, another prop/second rower.

I totally agree Dave, but maybe the centre we need is already in the squad.
I'd love to see Bretherton out on Potts' wing in the centre. Breth' has the pace, strength and the hands to do just what you have mentioned IMO. Walker might be another option but I think we'd miss his work rate down the middle of the park if he was moved out there.
I like Walton going forward, but defensively he gets caught out too much when he's rushing out of the line in the centres, If JK keeps him in the side now Scott is back in the fold. I'd like him to do the same job rushing out of the line, but rushing out to put pressure on the kicker on the 5th tackle, at least down the middle there is usually cover to make the tackle if he misses his man. In the centre, when he misses his man it usually results in us conceding a try.

I agree to an extent. Bretherton created Maun's try on Sunday with a great bit of centre play. Trouble is, Walton is really effective at the moment, so it would be hard to drop him. It's all a bit of a pleasant quandry at the moment.

It was in Rugby paper on Monday that JK said we had signed on dual reg Daniel Fleming from Cas til end of season. Nothing on club website yet, so presume they are waiting for RL confirmation. Apparentely he is 19, big lad,
hands like shovels and I am told he is built like Shane Webke.
Bring him on, another prop/second rower.
There was a huge flame haired young man who arrived with the squad at keighley. Presume that was him.
Re the centre situation - id like to think with scott fit JK will try Johnny Walker there. Ive said since the start of the season that i reckon he'd do some real damage in that role.

Walton is awsome at the moment for me and would be near the top of my teamsheet
PS I'm not his mum

However, I think people are been slightly premature. Walton has probably been one of our top 3 players this season. Ok he may have rushed out of the line a couple of times and cost tries, but he's more than made up for that in terms of line breaks and yardage. I wouldnt swap him for many Centres in our division to be honest.
I can understand people wanting to get the ball to Potts and there've been times i've said myself that we should move it wider quicker, but that's more about the structure and style of play than something lacking on an individual's part. It's the same with the other flank as Brown tends to do most of his work in the middle of the pitch, which is perhaps more his game anyway. There's no point in just throwing it out wide if there are no gaps. As quick and strong as Gareth is he needs space.
At the same time we are also third in the league, can possibly go into the top 2 if we win our next couple of games, and perhaps should be already if we'd got it right against Keighley (H) and Swinton (although full credit to those teams). So I dont think there's that much wrong with the way we are playing at all. And it should get even better now we are getting key players like Alex fit again.
If Jason or Danny Maun have a couple of poor games then fair enough perhaps it would be worth giving Johnny W or Bretherton a run there, but personally I dont think it's a problem position at all at the moment. Maybe we expect a little too much at times, me included. But looking through the Centres in the division, I cant think of many that are better than ours on a consistent basis.

Would just like to see Walker get a run there at some point.
