What is the point of a points deduction for a team in a league that has no relegation?
Also looks like those folks who helped raise money to 'save the bulls' were misled into what was needed to save them. Seems like all that money has simply been sunk into the black hole that the bulls have become. They might have cried wolf once too often.
I suppose we should congratulate the RFL for the wonderful job they did in appraising the applications for super league licences. Exactly what rating did the Bulls get again? Perhaps next time the RFL might like to employ accountants who can count.
This goes to show what a joke the SL licence lark is. And this from a RFL administration that received some sort of national award/recognition. Too embarrasing to let them sink - after all they would be left with the ownership of a ground with no tennant.
I expect Bradford will be playing in SL at Odsal again next season.

Oh yes, Bradford there will be a period of mourning when all sorts of folk will bemoan the expected passing of a former great only for a great white knight to gallop up at the eleventh hour with a derisory offer which will be accepted and they will start up again with a clean slate. The points deduction will mean they probably finish in the bottom three but next season they wil start all over again!!!
The make up of Super League will always be what the RFL want it to be and anyone who puts a contrary view will receive the same sort of treatment that Halifax got last season. A quick visit from the heavy mob to put them in their place.

Will the tax man allow the club to be saved given its stance with Glasgow Rangers?
If not will a Phoenix club find its self in the C1 next year as the Crusaders did?
It'd be good for us, but........

Latest on the Beeb website says they will be allowed to finish their fixtures so they don't have to start removing all the existing games from the statistics, then at the end of the season the licence will be examined.
EXAMINED, they should have bloody done that last year before they put a club that was in dire straits into the Super League and keep Fev and Fax down in the Championship!!! Christ on a bike, if the same people 'examine' the licence that examined the Stobart bit for the sponsorship they'll end up giving Bradford 40 points start for next season and a place in the Cup Final!!!!!!!
The RFL should be flogged for this level of stupidity instead of being allowed to get away with with saying the game is in great shape, I wouldn't like to see it if it was struggling!!??
Some 'Johnny-come-lately' will get on board with a paltry bid and reorganise without the old bills, you mark my words!

If the club goes into liquidation all players become free agents immediately - so they will have to finish their fixtures with whoever is willing to play for them (presumably for nothing). Hardly fair when teams who played them prior to any liquidation had to face the full squad of contracted players.
Avoiding liquidation means reaching an agreement with creditors - something Rangers failed to do. But it doesnt sound like anybody is likely to come in with the do-ray-me to pay off creditors (in full or in part).

I fully remember all this talk when Widnes went into administration, all the Vikings fans were saying it's over, nobody will take on this club. I posted to say they would at the last minute, and sure as eggs are eggs they did!!!! I don't know what happened about the debts but ever since then the only tick on the dog was the refusal at the first application for a SL licence!
There'll be some grubby little men making up the deal now and coming in when the time is right, you see if they don't! Whatever happens they shouldn't be allowed to stay in Super League, but they probably will.

Here we go again with the fiasco that is called The RFL.
Bradford allowed to continue this season, with a review at the end of it.
The solution is easy for the RFL.
Relegate Bradford Bulls to Championship One, promote an extra club from, Championship One to The Championship, and promote the best club from The Championship be it Halifax, Featherstone or Leigh to Super League.
A reasonably fair solution in my opinion. Sorted.
Come on RFL show some real courage and stop favouring the selected few in Super League.
I doubt if it will ever happen.

As a measure of the state of the SL take a look at the NRL table, 8 points separates 2nd from 13th. In super league the gap is 21 points.

I suspect that it existed more in the mind of Joe Pitt than in reality.

No doubt the RFL and SL will do everything in their power to keep them in SL. However, if you are in the Championship or Championship 1 and this happened, you would get the normal two fingered salute from Red Hall (unless you are Widnes and then you get promoted).

Regadless of what we all thing about the Bulls present plight and regardless what we think about the RFL administration, if the Bulls do fold there will be over 10,000 very disappointed and upset supporters.
RUGBY LEAGUE WITHOUT ROCHDALE HORNETS IS LIKE AN UNSHARPENED PENCIL, THERES NO POINT?

I cannot forsee any way that Bradford will fall into the lower divisions, they should but they probably will not!
Someone will come forward with a 'take it or leave it' plan at the eleventh hour and will offer to rescue the club as long as it keeps its SL status. Time will be very short and it will leave no real option for the RFL but to accept or lose the club!
Can you imagine what would happen if they did come down to the CC or CC1? All those players they couldn't keep due the miniscule Salary Cap compared to SL, they would be scratching around for clubs and the RFL would probably do what they did when the Crusaders went bang! Allow all the clubs to ignore the import levels. Home players out of luck, national team loses many of its choices for International duty.
Whatever happens it will happen soon, so we won't have long to wait!
Pugwash.

If you have 10k fans, then they should be nowhere near the debts they are in. If they are, then they deserve everything they get.
Remember that the RFL/SL do not give a stuff about the Championship or Championship 1, and Hornets like Oldham and countless others are suffering the decisions made by the powers that be that allowed the Crusaders, Broncos, Wakefield and now Bradford to keep alive. All this at the expense of other clubs that lived within their means.
Before someone says "Oldham are in debt", we maybe in the red, but we have always paid the debts off with interest. And did they help the Bears when they went bang? No sireee!

''But the Rugby Football League has promised to advance him the £200,000 needed for the players' wages.
The arrangement would give Guilfoyle until 19 July to find new investment.
"They have said they will let us have the money if it is directed towards wages," he told a meeting of 500 Bradford fans on Monday''.
Why am I not surprised

Well there we go, those poor players have been locked out of the gym, why don't they do their own training at home and for that matter couldn't they promise to perform this week regadless of payment as they have been doing pretty well out of it this season if £200,000 covers the coacjhing staff for a month!!!!!
It'd bl**dy kill 'em if they came down here on what our clubs pay, Stanky would love £200,000 to spend on wages for the season!?!?!?!?
Pugwash.
