Its a shame hes not had much game time, but I really hope he uses his time there well and comes back to us a more complete player.

I'm surprised this news hasn't created more feedback, as the forum was full of people wanting Foxen in the side earlier in the season.

Have a soft spot for the Roughyeds, a great traditional club that has been through plenty of turmoil since the early 90's, similar to the Lions. So I hope Rob Foxen can provide them with a bit of a boost, as they have now lost 8 times in a row and must be at a low ebb. On the other hand part of me wonders whether Mr Hamilton might in truth be a bit relieved at the loss of form, as surely he would not be allowed to stage Championship fixtures at Whitebank(?).

Rob Foxen undoubtedly has the athletic attributes to make the grade in the Championship and can damage teams once he's running with the ball, but needs to improve a few aspects of his defensive game as I'm convinced that's why Steve McCormack has left him out. It seems Sheffield away was probably the last straw.

I've said it before and no doubt I'll say it again: It doesn't reflect well to have players leave the club without so much as a passing mention on the website. In the case of Foxen, a guy that although not featuring much this season had previously been part of the team for a while. Dave McConnell's also joined North Wales Crusaders on loan (for whom Andy Gorski was man of the match and netted two tries at Barrow last week by the way), but the only way you would know these guys are no longer at the Lions is if you happened to spot it elsewhere. It gives the impression the club does not value the contribution that's been made by its players and a little effort to give an acknowledgement would in my view be fitting.
Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

Perhaps the club doesn't put acknowledments on the website as in some cases it's the players choice to leave. I guess this is down to the player merry go round which happens each year.

It will be interesting to see what happens to those squad players that haven't featured much this season.I agree with the comments about Foxen,he has all the attributes to be an outstanding player apart from his defensive frailties

It was the ideal game yesterday to bring Foxen on for one of our second rowers who had worked themselves to a stand still and let him run around like a lunatic injecting some much needed pace into our pack. He wouldnt have to worry about positioning or catching bombs and his one on one defence is good its where he stands as a winger that needs work.
I dont think we should lose him. Maybe he needs his mate Phil Jospeh back with him.
Im sure there was stuff in League Express about Gorksi and McConnell going out on loan. No one has left the club so maybe thats why its not had a massive mention.

Interesting to see what happens with Phil Joseph,he doesn't seem to feature at Bradford now and with their financial problems would imagine he will be in limbo at the end of the season.Absolutely no doubt he has been missed in our pack this year.Would love to see him back next year.
