Pro players invovled in coaching and events, tournaments and social mathces being organised by pro clubs etc.
Much as I love rugby league it is too much for most people (!) - I'm certainly past my best now - but I still like a game of touch for a chuck around and would love to see it more widespread.

There's a competition in St Helens every Monday night. You can turn up with a team or on your own and you'll be found a team to play in.

Does anyone know of anything in the High Peak area? Particularly keen for a weekend run out.

Given how similar this is to rugby league and its growing popularity I think this is something rugby league should really look to align itself to.

The RFL is already actively involved in this and receives funding for it. It is a lot more widespread than people realise given much of it is at an unorganised level and is of great importance even at a social level. Greater emphasis on it would certainly have an impact on skill levels in the UK since avoiding contact seems to have gone out of fashion.

I agree I think it is great for the handling skill levels and is really easy to pick up and play - you only need jumpers for goal posts and 8+ people and you've got a game.

Cheers - I saw that but I seem to live in the one place in the north that is bloomin miles away from any of them...
