On Radio Cumbria yesterday, John Cox stated that there is no relegation & promotion between the Championships at the end of the 2013 season, but there will be from the year after.
Does anyone know if this is correct ?

I thought there was no relegation from the Championship but a possibility of promotion from Champ 1.

Unless it's altered there is no relegation from the Championship this season but four teams will be promoted from Championship 1. These will be replaced by four new clubs and P & R between the two leagues will re-commence in 2013. How many are promoted and relegated has not, at least I don't think it has, been stated, whether it's one up and one down or two up and down. That's how I understood it.
I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

I got told there'd be no P and R in 2013 to let clubs bed down after spending loads. In promotion. Then 2-up-2-down after that in theory (but in practice expect the gap will be too big and we'll end up with 1-up-1-down and minimum criteria and eventually licensing). Though will be interesting if Bradford end up in Championship 1 with no promotion first time.

Does that mean they'll consider another Championship expansion (to 16?)I thought there was no relegation from the Championship but a possibility of promotion from Champ 1.

That's impossible. There needn't be more than 2 home or 2 away games in a row though. When will thet get the H-A-H-A fixtures sorted?
Think about it: If Barrow and Whitehaven both are at home in round 1, away in round 2, home in round 3... They'll never be able to play each other.
