Well its finally happened the Bulls are in administration and all the coaching staff plus others are declared redundant, the administrator is hoping to get an unpaid coach to finish the season off.

Oh dear.

The fat lady has already started singing.

Apparently theres only 20 grand in the pot
for players wages for the month, so expect a mass exodus in the next few days.

Feel for the staff who've lost their jobs and the predicament the players are in. Its a real sad dark day for our sport.

The administrator said he was going to contact the RFL for their assistance, so thats Lewis & Woods coaching the Bulls then
Did you also see how much they had to pay the Rhinos for Harris £550000 oops bit of a booboo there

The new company would need a new name, but presume thry could still play on as bradford bulls.

According to James Deighton on twitter at the bulls fans meeting tonight the club literally has 20 grand left in the bank.

Unless theres a miracle i cant see them

Not using the same name while one is still in administration and certainally not after it goes into liquidation unless the new owners buy out the old company and hence take on the existing debt, best way forward is to liquidate the existing company and start afresh with no debt.

It looks bleak for the Bulls and I think a newco will have to be formed. This leaves a bit of a dilemma for the RFL. I may be wrong but I understood the way to get into Super League was by winning either the NR or reaching the Championship GF. Now if the Bulls go bust any newco will be just that, a new company, a new club. They may well be called Bradford Bulls (depending on the legality of the wording) and play at Odsal, but they will be a new club. I cannot see how they can be placed straight into Super League based on the current box ticking requirements. Interesting times ahead.

They will be liquidated. Chris Caisley will buy the assets for £1. Create a new club and install Brian Noble as coach. The RFL will say that Sooper Dooper League cannot exist without there being a club from such a rugby stronghold as Bradford, with all their heritage, tradition etc., and will put the new club straight into SL.

Unless the other clubs in the RFL grow some b*lls and like the football clubs in Scotland have done with Rangers, say no way can they go straight back into SL.

Which way do you think it will go?

I think a Bradford side will be in Super League next year, simply because the decision will not be taken on the current box ticking criteria. We all know how the RFL make and break their rules as they see fit, and in this case it will be as Fred says.

The RFL aren't some shadowy entity with supreme powers over the game; it is actually controlled by the clubs themselves. So, without the approval of the clubs (sadly CC clubs have lesser voting rights than SL clubs) a new club couldn't just be shoehorned into SL.

There will be lots on infighting about this I predict. For example the rest of the clubs could decide just to run SL with 13 clubs for the remainder of the franchise period, in the process getting larger slices of the Sky money - a massive temptation for one or two I warrant. They could also decide that at the next round there won't be any club dropped, just one extra added. Equally don't expect the likes of Halifax to stand meekly by if a decision were made to allow them back into SL, which would be pretty well indefensible in a court of law I believe. It all bodes badly for the image of the game.

If Bradford do go into liquidation then I reckon they will drop into the Championship, which wouldn't be a viable proposition for them

I may be totally incorrect, but I'm led to believe that UK legislation means that a company director of any business that is liquidated is forbidden from becoming a director of another company for a certain period?
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

looking at the state of many super league clubs, how good does the Championship + 1 look? The game on Sunday was a great advert for all rugby outside the top flight. Well done to all. Bradford it seams were allowed to create a problem and the RFL must look at there rules and regs and it must never happen to any other club.
