If you are reading this is you are welcome to enter.
There's six games this week.
It's the turn of Dragons, Cowboys, Broncos and Panthers to have byes.



Entries are allowed each week up until the kick off of the first game in the round
The first game this round is on Friday 6th July

ROUND 18 QUESTIONS:
*Poll Competition:
Which game will produce the smallest margin of victory in Round 18?
That's the difference in the number of points scored by the two teams in each game as at full time
- enter in the poll itself at the top and put your answer in your posting.
The poll is anonymous so we can't give you credit unless it is in your predictions post.
Now for the main event of the week:
*Match Tipping Competition:
Name the 6 (that's SIX) winning teams in NRL Round 18 2012
*Points Competition
How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in R18?
This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.
*Away Win Competition:
How many AWAY wins will there be in NRL R18 2012?

In rounds where the game is on the road and played at a neutral venue, the team named first in the fixture will be regarded as the home team for the purposes of this competition.

Match tipping scores are added together to produce the Tipsters' Ladder which is pinned to the top of the forum topic list page.

What an odd game the Tigers v Doggies game turned out to be.
Tigers ran hot and cold throughout.
That Marshall kick facing the corner and hitting the post was amazing.
there were some terrific tries and moves from both sides. Wouldn't want to be the Tigers coach.

Tigers 20 - 32 Bulldogs Away Win (Margin of Victory 12 points)
Storm 12 - 40 Raiders Away Win (Margin of victory 28 points)
Titans 14 - 32 Warriors Away Win (Margin of victory 14 points)
Rabbitohs 34 - 14 Knights Home Win (Margin of victory 20 points)
Sea Eagles 40 - 24 Eels Home Win (Margin of victory 16 points)

NRL Round 18 Summary

Points total: 290
Poll: Smallest margin of victory = 12 points - Tigers v Bulldogs
N.B. The closest game was obviously the draw between Sharks and Roosters but as it was even Stephens after extra time there was no margin of victory which the poll options didn't allow for.
Next time I'll have to remember to put the draw as a poll option when we are looking for the lowest margin.

Tipping Comp Results /6:
N.B.Whenever we've previously had a draw, which is very rare due to golden point extra time that is played, we have counted everyone's predictions for that game as correct (as opposed to everyone wrong)
As it happens this time everyone had tipped Sharks. Everyone will be given that as a win. If anyone had tipped Roosters they would also have been credited as being correct.

Match Tipping:
There were six joint top scorers this round: R L Winger, Barney, Southstander13, G Las D, Simon Kerr and Kiwityke
The tie breaker was needed again. This eliminated most of us but couldn't split Southstander13 (-26)and Simon Kerr (-26) who both picked 264 points - the nearest of us to 290 of the 5/6ers.
They therefore share this week's top award.

Points Total: The two winners here were Southstander13 (--26) and Simon Kerr (-26)
The Away Win comp had a clear winner: JimBronco
Our Poll Comp - on the terms as explained above had shared winners this round: Barney and Kiwityke who both picked Tigers and Dogs to produce the smallest winning margin.

Animated awards will be presented to this week's winners as soon as I've been able to create them.
Our Round 19 Tipping Competition will be posted shortly.
