EDIT: July of course *facepalm*

Any postponements confirmed? I'd be surprised if many get off the ground in West Yorkshire.

Not true Bruce. Preliminary inspection at 8-8.30am with a ref on standby to make a final call if it isn't looking good also players/speccies on standby to make it playable if it is looking borderline. There may have been some ducks on the pitch at some point today as the pitch tends to hold water pretty quickly but then once it stops raining (stopped about 7pm) then it tends to drain pretty well. The forecast doesn't look too bad so if there's no more rain and I reckon we'll get it on!

Forecast for West Yorkshire is dry in the morning with the heaven's opening again around noon. So I would imagine the sensible clubs call the games off because of the pitch being waterlogged and the others go ahead with the game and play in the pouring down rain which is neither use nor ornament (as the saying goes) to players, pitch or supporters. It's good this summer rugby isn't it ?

is it right the new administrator has told clubs to try and swap games around to play local teams midweek so long distance backlog fixtures can be played on the weekends. why would leigh east for example who are up to date with fixtures and don't need to disadvanagte themselves by playin midweek want to go of their way so teams like pats and thatto don't have to travel to hull midweek. to swap fixtures in this way would invole the consent of at least 4 clubs that are all gonna be looking at what is best for themselves. i think she needs to get a grip of the fixyure list and have a reorganisation pronto before teams without floodlights lose the ability to stage midweek games. i can see disaster looming otherwise

Cheers statt man, think I will make the short journey down to watch this one, should be a good hard game by all accounts.
