Have seen a tweet saying Normanton set off today with ten players, all under 21. Could explain the result...kudos to them for playing though.

82-0 at half time. Just spoke to my mate who plays for normy and it's a players wedding and they asked the league if they could postpone any the league said no, so they went with 11 players 6 of which were 16 years of age.

It does seem like the switch to summer hasn't been the success everyone hoped.

There have been too many one sided matches not just this week but most weeks so far along with a lot of inconsistent results which didn't tend to happen in previous seasons

Not going to say much about when most weddings take place as I was married in November.

I think that if people would have listened to the big concerns muted by a lot of experienced current and ex players and administrators, rather than listening and reading the spin but out by the RFL we would not be in the farcicle situations that we seem to be in now. Please be aware this is my personal view and not one that I convey on behalf of the club I am associated with.

As I keep saying, instead of calling out the summer switch as being a failure immediately, wait until next season when people might actually arrange things not to clash with games etc. Of course it's not perfect, but give it a bleedin chance.

But RL at all levels is resistant to change, rife with pessimism and must be perfect from week one day one...
