Lewis seemed to be feeling the club didn't want him so felt it was best to leave.
Losing the captaincy at the end of May upset him.
Maybe if Panthers do want him out they have a big name player coming in they need room for.

I think your right. You dont get rid ofa player of Lewes's class without a replacement lined up.Lewis seemed to be feeling the club didn't want him so felt it was best to leave.

There is a lot of noise coming out about Luke Lewis now.
North Queensland want to make Thurston a Cowboys for life so will not be entering the race for his signature.
Cronulla have denied reports they are talking to him.
Gareth Ellis has suggest Wests should go for him.
Parramatta believe they are the front runners...

Fine player, with plenty of good years left in him.

"Perhaps it would be better that future criticism of sports be made on the narrow basis of what is being discussed, without reference to other sports, unless those sports offer a solution to the problem in hand." - Brian 'Pigface' Moore
"What happens in rugby union? A player takes the ball, moves forward a little and gets tackled. A whole load of players then roll about on the ground. Pheep! The referee gives a penalty." - Simon Barnes
