Well I don't want to labour the point gaz, but we signed an average journeyman winger called powell from fev, who under Warrens expert tutilage, blossomed into a player good enough to sign for ... erm ... fev.

Yeah but at that point grumpy we had no money and fighting relegation year in year out so most of our players would of wanted to move on.But like i said before no matter how good a player is grumpy DP will make him into the best he can be.Can you say the same about WJ? It does'nt matter to me whether WJ stays at your club or not but IMO i think he is killing your team. Also if i were you guys i would be on the phone now to get matt calland signed up as your coach because he is looking for a job and i think he did a fantastic job at fax alot better than rhino will do their IMO.

IMO I don't think Calland would go to Dewsbury with their limited budget. A few fans have already pointed it out that it must be even lower than Batley's. I think Rams missed a trick when Gary Thornton got signed up for York. He would've loved to go to a Championship club in the same position as his last. I'm sure he would've picked Dewsbury over York if he were approached.

Come on GOR, it wasn't under Warren that Bryn really developed now was it?

Irony BSJ, irony. BP was a damned good player before he ever went near fev first time round and I for one would be delighted if he came out of retirement and played for the fans who really appreciated him - I'm afraid he didn't get a fair crack of the whip at fev. zak Hardacre wasn't fit to lace his boots IMO. Done nowt at Leeds.

Gaz. bryn was our top scorer and was sacrificed for Ben cockeyne for 11 games of the season. bryn gave all for us in a massively different team to his first stint with us. he was a fine winger for this level who found the line oft enough. you do him a dis-service. he might not have had the speed of zac who is without doubt a promising player, but to undermine his service to rovers is unfair on bryns efforts

Liam was one signing I balked at and along with Bryn couldn't understand why Daryl went for both of them - shows how much I know - one was our top scorer, t'other was the CHampionship player of the year.

To be fair though, when you signed them Bryn was our top scorer and Liam was our player of the year and Championship One player of the year.

He is an england international

So is carl ablett  Sorry gaz, I was just winding you up a bit. Zak looked a very good player in the championship, but he doesn't look to have kicked on at Leeds in the games I've seen. He can't displace jones- bishop (not one of Leed's finest wingers), but doesn't look a centre, and playing out of position hasn't done him any favours. Zak was picked for international duty by a coach who I wouldn't even want replacing WJ at the Rams, a man who still thinks kevin sinfield is a stand off. Of course zak is still young, and I'm sure he'll go on to greater things, but at the moment I don't think he is international quality at a time when there is bugg.er all to choose from - I'm sure he will prove me wrong.

I thought he did and he was on occasions. You got Brynn when he'd lost some of his pace - in fact so did we for that matter, but he made up for that in other areas. If you could organise a footrace against a young brynn powell and zak hardacre tomorrow, one thing is for sure, all zak would see would be brynn's backside disappearing into the distance - you ask the hunslet supporters ;) And I'd pay good money to watch it

Don't know about that Grumps. Having watched both in their developing years, I have to say Zac was/is like lightening, particularly at our level. Zac has then gone on to prove himself and score tries at a much higher level than Bryn and in a straight sprint having seen both I would still back Zac.
But I agree wholeheartedly at the other stuff Bryn offered. He did his relieving stint very well, had a strong defence and always looked to exploit a gap, but his finishing (with the benefit of better service) was exemplary.
Then we signed Ben Cockeyne who just had that 'extra' something. His signing was the pair of "jump leads" that galvanised last season. Bryn was the casualty. Shame, but as we won the league and GF I have to acknowledge that it was the correct decision.

Its nice that you mention all these players that Fev have benefitted from but I also think we have benefited from having Ian Preece and Alex Bretherton signing from you as a result of differences with Warren. If you add the players that Fev have with these 2 you have the spine in place of a very good team.

Its a sign when season after season your losing your best players...it tells me something is wrong and this trend needs addressing

under the current coach this aint going to change
as BSJ always says "madness is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results

team selections madness
subs madness
one up rugby madness
turn over in players madness
p.issin the supporters off madness
patch at halfback madness

think mr j has definately gone

ONE STEP BEYOND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would be a disaster if we lost Craven. He was outstanding in a very poor display last night. Ask the other 4 Rams fans who went. Suspect Fev have their eyes on him. The',ll probbaly take Steve Crossley, Aden Faal and Austin too. We would be knackered then.

Blimey, I hope the lady who organises their away coach trips is up to the job, otherwise they will be after Elsie too.
