Press release: Chase suspension lifted
Castleford Tigers has today lifted the club-imposed suspension of half back Rangi Chase.
As previously notified, the club suspended Chase on full pay on the 25th June in relation to his alleged behaviour leading up to the away game against Leeds Rhinos on the 24th June. This related solely to matters concerning consumption of alcohol and non attendance at training sessions.
The club’s internal Disciplinary Board, having made a full investigation into all the matters referred to it, has taken the necessary action.
The details of the findings and any sanctions made will not be made public.
The club are satisfied that this matter is now closed and that he can resume his full involvement at the club. As such Rangi will return to training with the first team squad tomorrow (12th July).
Rangi Chase said:
“I would like to apologise to my team mates, coaching staff, the club and our fans for my behaviour on this occasion and am very sorry for any negative impact this may have had.”

I understand Chase has thoroughly learnt his lesson this time. Castleford have made it clear that one more indiscretion will see them make good on their threat to sell him to Hull.
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:
Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.
It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.
Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

I saw a load of carpets and sweeping brushes being delivered to Wheldon Road the other day.

Amazing stuff, last I heard he was about to be named amongst the FBI's most wanted.
On 13/2/2013, Hull City's owners the Allams, released a statement in their position as the owners of the KC Stadium Management Committee. One line in this statement read as follows....
"The SMC's principal responsibility is to remain neutral"

Doesn't that count as a "cruel and unusual punishment"?
Sorry, OF. Only kidding.
