Didn't get to the match today - away on holiday. Have to say I don't regret missing that at all. As I have said before, on a number of occasions, we repeatedly knock-off too soon. Five tries conceded without reply in 22 minutes. Eighteen point half-time lead should have given us the impetus to at least defend. Did we actually come out in the second half?

i hate to say it because you know you are our 2nd fave team but i think at half time your guys got the we've already won it attitude and thats a killer.I like kear but he should have said at HT its not over guys think its still 0-0 because if he had you would of won the game im sure.{im not saying he did'nt say that im just thinking he did'nt after that 2nd half performance}.

I think you have to give a lot of credit to Sheffield, even though it pains me to say it. We blew them apart in the first half (we shouldn't forget how incisive our rugby was before the interval) but they dug in, worked damned hard down the hill and TBF, we never looked like scoring after the break. I'd also give a big thumbs-up to the performance of the officials tonight - Stokes didn't miss much and that's the best game I've seen him have.
JK looked absolutely livid at the end.

Coolie, why not check out your own official website and leave the Batley forum alone.

Call it what you will, but Sheffield won the match in the last 3 to 4 mins of the first half, when they ran fast and hard with plenty of slick passing to test out how Batley could handle it
As the result shows we couldn't, I hate to admit it but they deserved the win.

Although I was disappointed with the result,I don't think the Dogs were any worse than Sheffield on the day.
It was a matter of who managed to run in the most points playing with the slope. What beat the Dogs were the two tries(one in each half) scored out wide with neither wing man having a hand laid on them.
Really enjoyed the game and always a pleasure to watch games at the Mount.

I think Sheffield played really well in the second half and did not give us a sniff. Gutted but the seasons not finished yet and it loks like we have to do it the hard way with a win away at Fev

With all due respect, he can post where he wants.
That site is quite useful though. It keeps all the spiteful tripe in one place.

Well played Sheffield, second half anyway, have to say I was gutted after and didn't sleep much last night.
Hope we can learn from this blip and move on.

Don't think we'll ever beat Sheffield in my lifetime no matter what lead we build
up they just blow us away in the 2nd half, they truly are our nemesis.
