Does anybody really think that the "powers that be" will seriously consider kicking out Bradford Bulls from the SL !! It may well be that they could go through a charade of "re-applying" with so-called other contenders but that is all it will be . Come 2013 it will be Bradford Northern Bulls Phoenix in SL .

The noises coming out of RLHQ already , indicate that by hook or by crook Bradford will stay in SL unless they actually vanish from the face of the earth. If there was any justice they should do a "Glasgow Rangers" and start in bottom tier and thus allow the top team of the Championship (whoever that may be ) a crack at the big time ! However , we all know that it will not happen that way because it is getting dangerously near promoting a team on sporting merit !!

totally agree i said in another posting ,it was sheer bad management by the bulls administration, and the fact at the time of super league conception every championship club as is now ,we were hung out to dry,and one of the clubs that did that were caisley and his bradford club, did the RFL jump to bramleys aid when they hit the wall,mt personal opinion the should be made to start in the lowest div possible,

IMO it's all about whether Bulls go into liquidation or stay in administration? If they liquidate and re-form leaving heavy unpaid debts the RFL will look foolish after what has happened to Rangers. Going into Co-op Championship 1 could be the best thing for Bradford XXXX or whatever they would call themselves, but that would depend on their fans sticking by them. If they did, they would be contesting for a licence within a few years.
Administration:- Keep Bulls in SL until next years licence review
Liquidation:- Put Bulls in CC1, and let on-field performance decide who replaces them, but whoever does would need a 4 year licence and a helping hand for going in un-prepared.

it's all very well deserving it, but there's no point if you can't sustain it, contribute to it, be competitive in it, and make a difference to it.
For Rovers to go into super league now woiuld be an all round disaster.

I don't care about what other clubs are or aren't doing. Featherstone Rovers have to do things properly, otherwise there's no point

Agreed...we are still in a growing stage;

I think if we ave the money silly league will take our money and run faster than any bank.

i am for super league so as to play more top teams but i wonder how many of these are in the or near the same boat as bradford

also then we will be having to bring top names the idea is this will bring the crowds. No way wining week in week out shows who's best this brings crowds no one watchs loosers. ! nearly forgot about the 2 the stands behind the post at wheldon rd.

and do's anyone want a team of over paid players or do we want a loyal team playing to put on that famous shirt.

Everything said makes sound sense. However who would have thought Rangers would be playing in the Scottish Third Division next season?. We are not ready but neither are Halifax. It follows that some BIG sugar daddy will bail Bradford out.

Certainly the Rangers situation would make it difficult for Bradford to remain in SL should they go into liquidation.
If they do go belly-up I'd guess that SL will have one less team until the next round of franchising (more Sky money for the remaining clubs).
If they are bought out, than six points deduction and carry on as you were, chaps.

Bulls will get in not Fev or Fax. The problem isn't the Bulls, Crusaders, Wakefield etc it's the system that is flawed and unless there is a grown up discussion and people put the game first then other clubs will follow. That's not to say Bulls are blameless, they're not but the root cause lies with the whole set up of the game.

I would have thought that the root cause was expenditure being higher than income, but I am just a simple soul.

You're right but there are wider issues that the RFL need to resolve. Certainly ot our level having no home fixtures for a month doesn't help any club with cash flow so there's one to look at.

How did that bring about Bradford's demise?

Read what he said - he did not mention Bradford !! The writer was referring to wider issues particularly at our level !!

Of course I read what he said - in all of this thread - and I'm sure Phil can stick up for himself.

These are fairly narrow issues I would have thought. Whilst the fixture format isn't ideal by any means it doesn't exactly equate with "the root cause lies with the whole set up of the game" now does it?
