2 If you are referring to Bradford Bulls, their sutuation bears absolutely no relation to that of Glasgow Rangers(I assume you are referring to them)AFC

The difference is this. The small scottish clubs had the power to demote Rangers, the small RL clubs had that power removed from them years ago.

Not yet. But if the Bradford Bulls can't find a buyer and they are liquidated. Then why not follow the same fate as Gers.

Of course they won't the RL will keep the old pals act and let the new company pick up where the old ones left off. Just like London, there will be threats of losing money etc, but the SPL and The SFL have show rugby league up to be morally corrupt in this regard

I don't think it will happen; I fully expect Bradford in some form or other to be playing in SL next year. However, I do feel that there should be some real form of punishment for clubs who enter administration or worse still liquidate. Frankly there is no real punishment for clubs; where is the incentive to run the business correctly to avoid issues like this happening? The real threat of demotion to C1 would be a serious warning to any club and its fans. Sadly, as the precedent has been set with London, Wakefield, Bradford etc I can't imagine it will ever happen.

As Ange says plenty of good people running decent businesses slip over the edge.

And these will be businesses who can make a profit, build reserves and protect themselves that way.

Some SL clubs are stretched to compete by the salary cap.

OK they don't have to spend the money if they don't have it, but then all that will happen is they will end up losing every week all season.

This isn't really about "punishment" besides the people who prepetrated the so called crime will be long gone.

It's about the balances of finance in Superleague.

Leigh are way behind in the queue for Super League, it should be Featherstone and then Halifax in the queue.

in my opinion they should follow the same path as crusaders, and drop to CC1, i have no axe to grind with bradford but if they are re-formed then they should start at the bottom and work their way back to super league. in an ideal world of fairness and a level playing field then, that is what should happen, and as i have said before they should have to submit a new license application if they are to stay in super league and be judged along side other prospective clubs who would submit an application....................

If they go into liquidation they should drop out of SL. But wouldn't necessarily have an issue with them joining the Championship rather than Championship 1 if their bid is good enough (the reason Crusaders dropped 2 divisions not 1)

RFL will not let one of the closed shop teams leave the cartel.

Would like to think they would provide the same level of support they have for Bradford to any of the lower tier teams if/when they hit money problems, but I have my doubts.

I appreciate that. But from a sporting aspect, if they liquidate, they are a brand new club so if we are talking about fairness, they should start at the bottom. That said, the world isn't fair and it will never happen.

Bradford Bulls SHOULD drop out of Super League, but only if the club goes into liquidation.
The RFL knows that this HAS to happen if the game has to have any semblance of integrity and fairness, so the scenario will not be allowed to come to pass.
The RFL will continue to fund the club via Sky TV money, and thereby stave off liquidation, as long as is possible. In reality there is nothing preventing this continuing until the current licence expires.
Bradford Bulls will remain in holding 'pattern' until the right buyer is found.
Any points sanction will be effective this season to clear the decks for a worthwhile campaign next season.

Just be warned that the Bulls will almost certainly be creating a well worn path for others to follow.
