Yes they became London Warriors

Yes they became London Warriors

Ah, right. The name Warriors does ring a bell.

it lost its established ground (S-C RFC)

What RU club (if any) is SLS most closely affiliated to now in terms of shared playing resources?

Of course, no discussion of South London Storm would be complete without a reference to Giovanni Cinque.

Perhaps Number 16 could enlighten us a little further.

West London Sharks called off a home game against Hammersmith which doesn't look good sadly.

They didn't call it off, apparently they have dropped out of the league. Very sad, i hope they can pick themselves up for next year.

That's sad. I hope either they get a team in a lower division (a London one if they make one) or at the very least that their players can find a home if Staines Titans run open age.

On a positive note, Derby City are back. They beat the Chargers 36-32 yesterday - a good game and we're hoping for a rematch in 2 weeks.

Chargers numbers have picked up again and we have a coach in place. I think we can have a serious look at competing in a structured league next season, and I hope Derby can join us.
North Derbyshire Chargers - join the stampede

Raising money for Prostate Cancer UK - ran the Spire 10 mile in August and the Worksop Half Marathon in October - more to come in 2013

Anyone?

Am south of the river these days so be good to know the RL-friendly union clubs (as any night out in Clapham would suggest they're few and far between!!).

Storm no longer has a close relationship with any union club. We were formed in 1997, and from then until early 2010 we were based out of Streatham-Croydon RFC. The relationship deteriorated towards the end and Storm moved to Mitcham RFC for the 2010 season. Since last year the club's been based at Lanfranc school, where the RL Foundation funded a 3G pitch.

Thanks. So are there any players left who play for both Streatham-Croydon RFC or Mitcham RFC and SLS?
