As part of the pre-match entertainment curtain raiser for the Swinton game, we are offering any/all supporters over the age of 16yrs who want to try their hand at "Play Touch Rugby League" the chance to take to the field and play with and against Rams 1st team players who aren't selected this weekend.

Why not have a go and mix it up with the boys who you support week in week out?

Its a fun way to play rugby league with minimum physical contact so no real chance of injury.

If you are interested in having a go you can email community@dewsburyrams.co.uk or just turn up and play on the day, their will be a registration table situated at the side of the Badger Bar from 1:30pm.

Might not do the players' confidence any good if they lose to a set of fans who have been in the pub.

Are the club going to provide insurance for the supporters, or will they have to sign a waiver
In my experience touch and pass very rarely ends up without some injury especially if you are un fit
When I want your opinion, I will remove the gaffer tape

Don't start on that one! I'm sure they will have this covered?
Although I do hope they don't use the same machine to cut the grass on the field as they do for the vicious stuff behind the posts. Any cross contamination and it might have someones leg off! Then I'm not sure if any insurance would cover this!

Oh good point. Looks like me and GOR will have to withdraw at the last minute. Shame really as you would all have been in for a treat.

Yeah - I was looking forward to until they mentioned the insurance. Must admit, when we used to play touch rugby as a bit of light relief during training, someone nearly always got "touched" over the railings, or into the path of oncoming buses etc.
