October 20th and I've heard it will be on Sky Sports 1 HD.

The PNRL Head coach Clayton Watene and his Assistant coach Mark De Ubago are confident that they have selected a competitive national team for the countries inaugural Rugby League International match on October 20, 2012 at Pattaya, Thailand against the Thailand Rugby League (TRY) national side.

The national team has been rechristened the Tamaraws a bovine animal unique to the Philippines renowned for their fierceness and aggression when challenged, attributes worthy of a Rugby League National side.

PNRL Head Coach Clayton Watene achieved a coup earlier this month when he was able to recruit Filipino-Heritage National Rugby League (NRL) stars Kevin Gordon and Matt Srama to represent the National side. The NRL are grateful with the Gold Coast Titans management for releasing these elite players to the Philippines for their inaugural Rugby League international.

Unfortunately fellow NRL Rugby League star Andrew Everingham will not be available for this international match due to prior personal commitments.

Our NRL stars will be ably supported by NRL lower grade player Sydney Roosters Sam Bernstrom and players from the 2nd tier level of the national competition in Queensland Cup players; Rez Philips, Steven Bernstrom and Shane Grey. With the rest of the national side made up of players playing A grade level Rugby League in the ACT, NSW, Queensland and South Australia. The side will be further boosted with the return of their Cabramatta International 9s Captain, Luke Srama from playing with the Coventry Bears in England.

As far as I'm aware there is no real RL presence on the ground in the Philippines at present. I have no idea about the situation in Thailand or where they will draw players from. I'm also pretty certain that this match will not be on Sky Sports.

I'll be surprised if it's even televised.
