The premier sports commentators said "Other bigger teams are looking at him"
Wonder who that could be....
Now barrow has been promoted they can start signing lads who they want for next year. It will be interesting to who they keep from this years team?

We've always been late in signing on players (often to late) I wonder if that Wil change this year. Other teams have already started signing up there top players for next year.

Martin Ostler would obviously be added to joes list. I think we may get Brennan and Duffy back as it wil help their development in wires opinion playing in a higher league. Butler may have 1 season left in him. I don't think we need to add to much to hold our own in the CC.
As for Toal, if its not SL then there would be no point in him moving.

I've always said (to anyone who would listen) that Dan would be snapped up by a SL club within 5 years.
Maybe I've under estimated. Get him on a Raiders 5 year deal ASAP.
He's not the only on either!

I always forget about him, he would do a job in the CC. Pugh also would if we could get him back although it seems unlikely.Add James Gordon as well....cant believe he was an omission in the 1st place ?

Nicco.....seriously, a new deal?? He'll get slaughtered in CC against good opposition. Should be lookin at signing a fullback/winger and playin Ballard and Haney alongside another solid back.
Hoped that he'd get his confidence back this year and return t his previous best but he hasnt and at times has looked disinterested and almost cowardish

Oh, and Butler, he's done a job for the Raiders in the past, but think its time for Raiders to call time on his career, as next level up i feel he'll be a liablity rather than a asset.

Out of interest how many games have your Dual registration players played for you in the League this season? Dual Reg players have to have played in 50% of league games in order to play in the play-offs. Town have 3 that will not be available and I believe Donny have 1 (not sure).
I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

It does not surprise me. Barrow do this all the time. Come November we will be looking for a whole new squad.

I guess only 12 month contracts where given because club werent sure what position we would be in at end off season ! after all how many thought that we wouldnt have a team at the start of this season ,and if we did would we be able to pay players on 2 or 3 year contract if we didnt make it out off this league or if we did we where paying players who simply aint good enough which in turn means we cant afford playrs that are .

I think Ryan Shaw will have played 11 out of 18 league games but Brennan & Duffy will have played less than 50%. 50% seems a lot of games. Where did you pick this up from Keith.

Michael it's in the RFL's Operational Rules. Rule B3:15. I think it can include the NR Cup matches as well.
