Have they only the one full sized grass pitch?None of the Leigh East players want to have to play games on the 3G, the pitch suits big teams that plough through the middle and thats not Leigh East. But unfortunately it's out of their hands, they will probably suffer more because of this.

I know it killed us a couple of seasons ago in the national cup, found ourselves 20 nil down in as many minutes. The other full sized pitch is outside the fenced club area and is also undergoing annual maintenance.
The 3G is full size but much smaller than the main pitch both are legal and comply with RFL Laws on pitch size, otherwise no game.

Probably an even older saying, "Home teams advantage"
Did we whinge at the time or at any other time since "NO" did we make new friends on the day "YES" did we give a good account of ourselves, " I think so"

Myton didn't want to play on the 3G either, as said obviously advantage to home team as Myton hAve never played on a 3G pitch before.
Have you seen Mytons field, it's one of the widest in the league as they play an expansive game not down the middle.
