3 to assess the players and see if it was the coaching that they were getting is the reason for them playing so bad what's there to lose Thorman going rammo lap dog and cook for me not done the job he was brought in for.

4. Total bo**cks.

So you reckon bring GT in now to act as a psychologist to work out the affect the current
coaches are having on the players performance on Sundays?

We all know how well some of the players can perform when they want to, down to them to
show it more often & support the coaching staff, not the players job to decide who's coach,
but having said that, think you will find the large majority of the players back the current
coaches.

As Deano said, overall the squad is just not strong enough for this division.

And before any comebacks about Rose tinted spectacles, I know we've been terrible this season, in fact I've never felt so despondent as a York fan even when we were getting beat 98 nil, but you certainly can't blame Rammo for it.

Not having that, one of the blokes named there has done more for York RL than you'd ever be able to do. Including playing for the club when it was on it's last legs and helping out when other coaches decided to behave like kids and get suspended. There should be a job for Rammo as long as he wants one and is capable of doing it, regardless of what a few ill informed supporters think.

Absolutely.

Not critising Rammo lapdog as in he's running around after everyone ie Thorman coach who picks up peices Rammo radio interview where's the coach oh it's Rammo again he does a hell of a lot it wasn't aimed at him lapdog is a reflection of how he is being treated at the club.

The other side of the discussion is that Thornton is still in a job.

So he would be unable to be our coach. Plus I doubt Cas would want to let him leave this close to the end of the season.

Rammo probably does the interviews because he wouldn't spend most of it clearing his sinuses.

Slice him through the middle and he's got York RL running through him like a stick of rock - when York win the SL and Challenge cup double (stop laughing), Rammo will be coaching. If you want to get rid of Rammo, you'll have to go through quite alot of us.

I'm hoping all the coaching and playing staff stay, cos results don't matter really, but it's a right laugh in the bar with all of them after matches.

I'd keep all the players at the club if it was up to me, most wouldn't be playing in the first team regularly though. A strong reserve side would work wonders.

You fans that drink with the players after the games are lucky you get to have a real good laugh with them, where most of us dont so we can only go on what they are like on the pitch, maybe if we have a bar on the pitch and do away with the rugby everyone will be happy  B)

What, a bit like Rod Stewart and The Faces, John ? They used to have a bar with a barman on one side of the stage - maybe we could put it between the dugouts ?

At the risk of repeating myself, whats the point of bringing in new caoching staff to:
1. Coach players who probably won't be here next year.
2. Coach players that the experts on here say are not good enough & don't want them here next season.

Simon,

Not about blame or lack of committment or service to the club or anything personal, simple fact is in my ' expert' opinion it might be best to have a complete change on the coaching front, getting supporters back through them gates and increasing revenue is all about results and the club should try whatever it can within it's gift to make it happen on the pitch, sentiment at this stage could kill the club.

Daresay you have a different view, that's your prerogative of course, however no new or ex-supporter is going to come and pay money, buy merchandise, bar etc etc to watch a team out of it's depth and unable to compete, even us die-hards by our own admission are struggling to watch the current offering.

Unless there is some unknown funding in the club or our new Commercial guy can pull off a couple of significant sponsorship deals I fear for the future next season. Awful position to be in and after the heady days of 2003-5 I honestly never thought we'd go backwards, 2006 damaged the club IMO as many supporters felt that the club showed lack of ambition and I agree, 6 years on we are a shadow of the vibrant and wellsupported club we were then, real shame.

I agree 100% Simon. If everyone at the club showed the same committment as Mick Ramsden and had the same feelings for the club as him we'd be in a better situation than we are now.

Clarence St,

Sometimes it's just not enough to have committment and feelings, it's a definite start, however proven ability & competence usually are the more successful qualities.

Expert maybe not the correct word, but having only missed one 1st team game this
season, must be in a better position to judge than people who are picking up on 2nd
hand information/comments etc (for whatever reasons).
Also bother ask the people involved at the club why this player isn't playing etc, etc, when in my
opinion he should be, which then hopefully makes any stuff I may put on here a 'balanced' view,
Think the coaches & club staff are very open to communicating all they can to the fans & really
do appreciate we are all in together.

My point being, in my view, a lot of the players aren't putting the effort in. They have shown in the past they have the ability and competence but aren't putting it in this year. That's just my opinion of course.

Then the players who aren't putting the effort in need to be shown the door at the end of the season!
