I am sure he knows he is as near to being sacked as he ever has.

No matter what you think of him you just have to agree with every word. The sooner we get back to playing our own British style of rugby, which was much more entertaining, the better. We all like to beat the Aussies but does it really matter about a few games we play every two or three years against them when you set it against all the Sundays we have to watch all this Aussie style rubbish, and it doesn't help us beat them anyway so why bother. Back to basics I say.

It's not what he says, it's just that he keeps threating to quit.

Well instead of worrying about it I approached him on Facebook and asked him about the interview and he has said that this is just something that has resurfaced from something that happened a while ago. It must be a slow day on the Rugby League page. They would do better to have a look at the laughable fixtures they keep publishing on the website than trying to cause trouble.
As for being near getting sacked, I think you should tell us why, after all he's put a side out that has pasted the 'mighty' Roughyeds twice in the league this season.
JS has to work with a very low budget and regularly has players ready to sign only for other clubs to offer more money and lose them. By the way, how's the Benson out, Calland in going???
Pugwash.

So what is this "British" style of rugby? Rugby will never change whatever era. The basics of the ability to offload in the tackle, support the man with the ball and complete your tackle will never change in the present or the future, probably faster and subtle adaptions to rule changes. If anyone viewed Premier Sports Friday night Aussie game Manly versus Bulldogs they would have a very different view of Mr Stankevich which was frighteningly light years ahead in skill and intensity of the English game its sad to say and superb entertainment to boot.No matter what you think of him you just have to agree with every word. The sooner we get back to playing our own British style of rugby, which was much more entertaining, the better. He is right in what he says, unless something is done quickly the game has become stale and unexciting,Super League has become so predictable and outside of the top 4 the rest are average to say the least. There are far to many average foreign players and managers in the game, and every one of them keeps an upcoming local youngster from ever coming to the fore.Oldham are just as bad we must have the worst coach in the championship, how many years and still no success we have no chance of catching up the deficit to gain promotion in the best chance we have ever had.I really feel that missing out on promotion will be the the death knell for Oldham and it's a shame really things could have been so different if we had management that cared and not just talked,I hope I am proved wrong but I cannot see any other outcome.

Agree with D1029.Before I got Premier Sports,I thought that the Aussie `style` was repetetive, boring. But it`s not-it`s got everything you could want from a rugby match:commitment, incredible skill, speed, superb kicking tactics, and hard soild defences. Not boring, not routine, light years ahead of GB RL -great spectator stuff. Will really miss it when the season finishes.
Re Rroughyed, don`t agree with his comments about RL in general but agree with him about TB.And sadly,CH doesn`t even seem bothered to talk, unless maybe to the Chron or the odd radio station.
