Timing is everything - at this crucial stage of our season we must do all the talking on the field. I like to believe that Stanky and the team are so focused.

Totally agree, after 3 recent great performances defensively. And as Stanky said a fully fit squad to choose from the team and coaching staff must keep focused on the task in hand.
The timing of yet another 'gonna quit' article isn't the best, unless its a tactic???

I thought it was common knowledge Stanky will be quitting at the end of the season, it seemed to be with fellow fans around me on Sunday.

Makes a refreshing change from you mentioning the Hornets attendances but that would be very difficult looking at your gates. Funny how things come back to bite you eh? -_-

I think he's got a very good point, although the timing of this not the best.

Stop bringing Aussies and New Zealanders et al over and start to bring our own youngsters through and see if we can get good enough to challenge them that way.

Please remember everyone, you are entitled to an opinion but if it gets abusive it will be deleted! Cue the usual suspects complaining about Big Brother and censorship!

I don't get what is behind this (which possibly says more about BBC reporting than him), is he concerned that the competition in Ch 1 is unbalanced because of imports, or concerend that opportunities for folks like him to better himself by moving to higher ranked clubs are blocked by imports or just philosophising about the state of our game. If its the last one what has this to do with him coaching at Spotland.

I suspect its more a tactic/distraction, though that doesnt mean he wont quit at the end of the season, but I dont think his reason will be too many aussies!

Rather than mulling over some shonty reporting of an old topic, if you have a question about his future just ask him before or after a game, I'm sure he'll put you in the picture!

Seriously?

And lose the gossip factor?

Mal, you and I both know that's just not going to happen, it's too sensible.

If anyone actually reads the article the only quote given about leaving the game was taken from an interview given 6 or 8 weeks ago. He's not actually said he's thinking of leaving the game because of all the Aussie imports. He's just said that he believes the British game would be better without them.
It's shoddy tabloid style reporting, but that's enough for some people to have a go.

I don't think the arrival (again) of Tony Rae at London Broncos has gone down well with many young British coaches this last week, I am sure not only Stanky but other coaches have been questioned how the hell they can fly another failed???? Aussie in rather than give a chance to a young coach? On this and i totally agree, how is this progress not only at SL level but RL in general?
2 days after the non article its a least got Hornets mentioned on the morning sports report on BBC Radio Manchester, something we fail to do some weeks whilst we are playing on a Sunday afternoon on the award winning Sunday Rugby League afternoon programme.

Id hate to see a good british coach wasted on a train wreck like London. That would really ruin a coaching career.
