I thought the deduction was related to the amount paid back to creditors.

I thought this was being delayed until it was established what exactly is happening?

Unusual there isn't the usual RFL waffle. They could at least be helpful to the fans and not just fob us off like BT.

does this suggest the RFL are accepting the conditional offer?......seems odd to think they would penalise them twice

It certainly looks like that. I don't see how they can decide on points deducted otherwise.

I thought the match and loss against Leeds might've been the point the emotional bubble may have finally burst for the lads, but hopefully this hammer blow will atleast spark a fight out of the Bulls. I don't expect anything from the Warrington game, and with Hull KR at Widnes, perhaps the Vikings can give us another helping hand.

Could be positive news all round if this is a signal that an offer is going to be accepted by the RFL. Secures (hopefully) the future of the Bulls and looking at the league table there is still a very good chance of making the top eight.

we were docked 9 points because it was 3 points for a win and the bradford deduction equates to the same number of games we were deducted for.

After exiting Administration Wakefield paid a significant amount of creditors which brought a less severe points deduction. It seems that the ABC consortium are indicating that they will not attempt to honour any of the previous owners debts and they therefore suffer the maximum available points deduction.

Effectively they are saying dont put conditions on your offer for the bulls but hey by the way they've coincidentally had their punishment for administration and wont be dropping out of superleague. Now about that lease on odsal.

Predictions for the future -
Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

Good news but will set a strange precedent......you can't blame any future clubs that face the wall trying the same argument "don't demote us or you'll lose us forever".....this time round it would appear that the RFL response is supportive but for other "lesser" clubs they may well say "you're not important enough to make allowances for so off you go"

It seems equivalent, but when you examine closer its not. Widnes were deducted points for 3 games of an 18 game season, Bradford have been deducted 3 games of a 27 game season, isn't the same impact

From Peter Smith on Twitter
Bulls have so far been unable to pay creditors, therefore receive a heavier penalty than Wakey/Crusaders, whose new owners did #rugbyleague
