Bradford Bulls deducted six competition points
The RFL Board of Directors has today ruled that Bradford Bulls will be deducted six points - the equivalent of three competition wins - as a penalty for entering into administration during the 2012 Stobart Super League season.
The points will be deducted with immediate effect.
The points sanction was applied under RFL Operational Rule 4, details of which are on Page 119 of the 2012 RFL Official Guide, which can also be viewed by visiting http://www.therfl.co...erational_rules

9 points was 3 wins in the Championship. Why not 9 like Widnes or 4 like Wakey?.....are these decisions completely arbitrary?

does this suggest the RFL are accepting the conditional offer?......seems odd to think they would penalise them twice
It certainly looks like that. I don't see how they can decide on points deducted otherwise.

we were docked 9 points because it was 3 points for a win and the bradford deduction equates to the same number of games we were deducted for.

Predictions for the future -
Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

I promise to pay 10 to the charity of Bomb Jacks choice if Widnes Millionaires finish above the battling underdogs Crusaders RL. I OWE A TENNER!

Could be positive news all round if this is a signal that an offer is going to be accepted by the RFL. Secures (hopefully) the future of the Bulls and looking at the league table there is still a very good chance of making the top eight.
Good news but will set a strange precedent......you can't blame any future clubs that face the wall trying the same argument "don't demote us or you'll lose us forever".....this time round it would appear that the RFL response is supportive but for other "lesser" clubs they may well say "you're not important enough to make allowances for so off you go"

It seems equivalent, but when you examine closer its not. Widnes were deducted points for 3 games of an 18 game season, Bradford have been deducted 3 games of a 27 game season, isn't the same impact

Bulls have so far been unable to pay creditors, therefore receive a heavier penalty than Wakey/Crusaders, whose new owners did #rugbyleague
