This will be at Moorside Cricket Club, on Thursday 08 August, with a kick-off time of 8.00pm.
There'll be a quiz as well, and all it'll cost you is a couple of quid, with the funds going as a start to next year's walk.
We'll be also having a raffle, and if you'd care to bring a prize wuth you, we'll not say no I assure you!
Thank you in advance!

"--- and then on the eighth day, God created Rugby League."
Daily, my intense dislike of the Pinks, Rugby Yawnion, Manchester United, and far-right politics, grows ever larger, and will continue to do so forever more!
Question! What's the connection between Rugby League and Rugby Yawnion? Answer! There isn't one!
My girl-friend said to me "If you had to choose between me and Swinton who would it be?" I replied "You know the answer to that one without even asking!"

Don't forget it's this Thursday, and it's the 9th, not the 8th, as I typed previously!
Please bob along to Moorside Cricket Club (and a big thanks to Lol for sorting the room out for us) It's ony a couple of quid, and all we make, will be used as a start to next year's walk!

An absolute disgraceful turnout for this event.
It was attended by four fans one of which was Spelly himself and then two guests who were receiving cheques on behalf of the two chosen causes.
People on here constantly moan about no functions taking place in Swinton and when they do this is how they are supported. The two girls in attendance must have been wondering what was going on.
I appreciate that many may think that making their donation is support enough and that if fair enough but it would have been nice to show John some support on this venture.

I was out collecting lottery monies on behalf of the club so that's my excuse. Its sad that us fans can't be bothered to turnout for things like this be it a quiz night ,race night etc. From my own perspective nights in the week are difficult, maybe something organised at weekend promoted as club fundraiser would prove to be more successful? What about a seventies night? .I know for a fact that we have at least three very good DJs amongst our fan base.
