Not sure on the exact figures and I know every side was struggling attendance wise back then due to the forced relegation dissalution. Wakefield and HKR had he biggest crowds that year. HKR (played twice at home) and Dewsbury were our biggest home attendances. We played fev on at fri night in heavy rain which effected the attendance with not many at all from fev

not many at all ? HOW do you define not many ? we have always taken a good following to wakey and like wise wakey to fev - not excatley a million miles apart !

And so it goes: what should have been a thread talking about what a brilliant game we have all witnessed, given excellent presentation by the broadcaster, Premier Sports, once again descends into the usual, boring circular argument about P & R. As if there aren't enough threads to bore us to tears on the subject already?

Could I ask, just for once, that those fixated on the subject stick to the threads on the subject and leave those of us who want to enjoy and discuss the actual rugby to do just that?

Seconded!

Dream on, as they say. Its always "jam tomorrow"...no names no packdrll...widely rerorted...etc. I'been following the game since 1957 and have heard these optimistic stories again and again and again..yet can count on the thumbs of both hands the number of "new jerusalems'.
.
Don't misunderstand me..If Leigh or Fax or Fev can do it, then great. ..but it is a huge "if". Its just that it ain't going to happen.

Was there on Sun and connot now talk due to losing my voice from singing.

What a Great game of RL that was!!! Fev we're their usual steely selves hard hitting and running but Fax at long last got their defensive heads on and that for me was the key to this game they kept close tabs on both Kain and Finn most of the game.

This was a great game because it was not a case of one side being clearly better than the other this was two evenly matched sides playing really well against each other.

Congratulations to both teams and sets of fans for a great day out.

It certainly was a good game and a great effort from both sides. Without doubt Fax deserved the victory, well done. Entertainment value in the Championship is is top notch, its a pity more people don't appreciate the skill and commitment that these lads continue to produce week after week. Premier Sports are doing a fantastic job and it's a refreshing change from the Sky presentation.

I agree Terry, and it amazes me how we can see such commitment, passion, skill and fitness levels from what are essentially part time players considering some of the SL games Ive watched on Sky this year the NRC final was by far more entertaining, I maybe slightly bias being a Fax fan but I would not have thought many neutrals would argue against the product on show.

The oly thing that has put a shadow over the days events for me is the news in the LE of an overhaul of Champ clubs and making them affiliated with a SL club whereby the SL club can farm out any fringe forst teams who are not getting a game to their Champ cousins.

I totally disagree with this idea in that it is trying to make the champ clubs feeder clubs for the SL sides by stealth rather than just coming out and saying it. Whats wrong with the current dual reg policy that seems to work fine to plug any gaps in team sheets? If they want to do that at Champ 1 level I can see the merits but at Champ level that is further diluting any attempts of clubs to develop their own talent and keep hold of them it also undermines the strength of the comp highlighted by yesterdays showing.

Just watched the game on record. Great game, really good and deserved a bigger crowd.

I think the crowd was down due to the bad timing of the final. A lot of people on both the Fax and Fev forums stated that they were unable to go due to being away on holiday. Add to that it being the first weekend of the Olympics, doesn't particularly interest me, in general, but I know a lot of people who will watch any sport.
