Rugby League must be a great game to survive the fools at the RFL who run it.

We haven't lost the league. 3 points off top is hardly losing it

I'd rather have them promoted, it guarantees us 6 points a season

Good god fester, we've lost a game which was a long travel on a weeknight against one of the top 3 teams in the league. Now all of a sudden were not capable of beating barrow by 13 points at home? Dont talk daft and believe in the lads a bit. Other than battering a poor haven side barrow haven't exactly been walking games, getting beat by donny and struggling with skolars and crusaders is not an unbeatable side. Were a great side this year and one poor performance dosent change that. Let's get behind the boys, who by the time we play barrow will be a confirmed championship side, and cheer them on to our first title in many a year.

Amazing to see so many daft knee jerk reactions to a single defeat in difficult circumstances. Have some bloody faith in a team that has been fantastic for the majority of the season so far.

What a short sighted point of view. Now we lost the league lets let rochdale beat us to ko haven that would be a day to go down in history hahahahahaha haven
The game is all about money, every penny that can be garnered should be. Ask yourself who would bring more spectators to DP next year Rochdale or Whitehaven?
Wanting Rochdale before Whitehaven is just shooting yourself in the foot.
As a Barrow fan of course I want us to win the league, that's worth £50,000 but the bigger prize is promotion.
I want two local derby crowds at C P next year.
Besides as you can't beat Barrow you need some easy beats next year!!!!

Everything you say is right, both workington and barrow are frustrating, with plenty of strengths, but also silly weaknesses.Barrow can move the ball at pace and destroy any defence, they can also make the most basic of mistakes. Workington are built around a very good, powerful pack, who usually do the business, but if they dont, workington revert to a type of basketball, which usually ends with a lost ball. Against Doncaster I think with a bit more composure they could have really pushed a tireing Doncaster. They tried one grubber which caused panic, they then as I say reverted to basketball, but I think both clubs would have settled for where they are.Good god fester, we've lost a game which was a long travel on a weeknight against one of the top 3 teams in the league. As you both say at the end of the day it's all about cash. All the cumbrian sides need cash to improve and more importantly to survive. To meet those goals we require as many derby matches as we can ,no matter which league we are in ,all three cumbrian teams need to be in the same league to achieve our goals.

I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.
