I think our best player over all has been Thacks or Matty, but for impact and consistency of performance I would go for Brett Phillips also. To play to such a high level and come from amateur level and be so good is incredible from the big fella.

At this moment in time I cant decide between matty,Phillips, thacks, carter and miller. All have been outstanding this year, and will see what happens in the remaining few games before deciding.

Phillips . To come from the amateurs , come right in and play every game , at a consistently high level , great achievement . Matty n Thacks are doing in this league what they should , Phillips step up and achievements give him the edge.

Wow an unbelievably difficult decision. I have plumped for Thacks after much mind changing simply because he has came on when we are struggling and completely turned the game on its head more than once. Carter, Matty & Phillips have all been consistently superb and was torn between them all, I will cheat and give Phillips my vote for young player of the year!!

I see our friend "who couldn't give a toss about RL" has been mischief making with his vote. He certainly visits the site plenty for something he doesn't care about.
The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

Mighty close but after due consideration I've gone for Stack. Maybe we just take him for granted a bit now but every game he's there playing to a high standard, giving everything and leading by example.

Best newcomer - Philips.
Best Oldcomer - Gus
Sheer class - Matty.
Most destructive - Thacks.
Best finisher - Miller.
Strongest - Olstrum.
Most entertaining - Ginge.
Hardest hitter - Rooney.
Mr Reliable - Mossop.
Busiest Player - Peterson
Best sidestep - Whitehead

er .... thats about it for now

Im sticking with Phillips in a very close run thing , but I'd like to give an honourable mention to Jason Mossop. To be honest I've not been his biggest fan , but this season he's won me over. He's there week in week out , he's built out of granite , hits like a mule and shores up one side , and makes his yards. He's the type of player you only realise how good n valuable he is when hes not there.
