Salford halfback Daniel Holdsworth could be partnering Rangi Chase at FC next season if our recruitment plans come off.

Would be an exciting combination to get us around the park.

I heard about this a couple of weeks ago (that Hull were after him). Just left me wondering if Salford will actually have any players left next year?!

Sad for Salford, they've just about assembled a team that entertains and competes then it gets dismantled straight away.

Unfortunately, this is the way things go and perhaps explains some people's bitterness on here.
On 13/2/2013, Hull City's owners the Allams, released a statement in their position as the owners of the KC Stadium Management Committee. One line in this statement read as follows....

"The SMC's principal responsibility is to remain neutral"

Little confused by this as Holdsworth is under contract for next season.

Allsorts of rumours about players being poached including Holdsworth and Broughton.

Rumours on your forum that Salford need to cut costs and Holdsworth contract off your cap will ease finances. A fee might not be involved if Salford need to get him off there books.Only speculation though.

The club has flatly refuted that Holdsworth is going anywhere.

They've also stated unequivocally that Holsworth, Broughton and Joel Moon will all still be at the club next year.

No wonder royboy calls FC the new glamour club, there're copying the original glamour club, poaching, buying and not developing their own

That will be why we had Lineman , Green and Nicklas playing yesterday who were all in the 20's at the start of the season. But don't let the facts get in the way of the ###### you post.

Well done, still doesn't change my opinion, you're buying to improve, a quick win win pearson is looking for.

Ps. Lineman, Green and Nicklas will be in red and white in a few years :P

Pearson has all ready said in the press that it will take another two years to see the fruits of his investment. Arundel and Crookes are young players and I would not say they here signed as a quick fix but as an investment for the future. After years of miss management and none investment we have an owner who is in the same mould as yours.

I agree with this post, I was just having some fun as your very own royboy is liking the glamour tag.

Other than Leeds, bulls, Wigan and saints - FC are the only club to play in the GF.

Have Hull finally made an offer to buy out Holdsworth's contract then? So far they haven't.

Would this count as an illegal tap up?

Getting fed up of clubs just throwing money at our half backs. I know we need to up our game re crowds and finance but when teams like the Bulls etc don't play by the same rules it is annoying.

Holdsworth was a washed up Aussie who had a good Exiles game and now he is in demand. Hope Hull know how to massage his ego because he needs it. Very quick to lose heart and fade away.

On his day he can be outstanding but needs someone to hold his hand. Had many annoymous games for Salford, kicking game isn't great either

Hull will have a really competitive side on paper next year. Adam Pearson has said they've already got 6 (or was it 7?) players in the bag and that isn't the end of their business. I can see a few current players leaving at the end of the season now.
