Agree about Halfords ok but nothing outstanding , not to bothered as I like to have a go at setting/greasing/oiling stuff up !

Need a good lock as 3 boardman bikes stolen from Hull over the last few days .

Reviews played a big part in me getting a Boardman .

Tried the Barnsley parkrun on Saturday. It's a beast!

That's 8 different parkruns now, and 37 in total. Aiming for my 50 T-shirt by November.

Tonight will be my first night back playing badminton after 7 weeks off after my elbow op.

Hopefully my arm will hold up for a couple of games but suspect tomorrow morning will be a tad painful.

Two hours of badminton after 7 weeks off recovering from the op and I can still move my arm today. Quite happy with that.

12 miles done today after a week off due to a sore back (consequence of being cleaned out playing RL earlier this year). It was about 24C so hard work, especially as the track had overgrown since last time we'd run resulting in a lot of toil and loss of energy. Still managed to get round in 1hr 47mins so happy. 14 miles next Sunday...

Finally got off my backside and got back to proper training and racing after turning into a summer sloth and dropping behind on my 1000km target for 2014.

Parkrun on saturday, Lutterworth 5 mile race Sunday and an 8 mile run to get some distance in my legs last night. Day off today, 6 miles tomorrow then a fast parkrun on Saturday.

23 miles done this evening. Farthest distance so far and first to break the 20 mile Barrier. Done in.

Being the bloke I am means a couple of wobbly weeks has tempted me to scrap my plans and my target.

Nevermind even weighing myself each week and chasing numbers, just do.

(I'll probably come back to charts and whatnot in the new year.)

I'm not denying I haven't done well losing 4 stone this year, but that's in the past. Gotta keep moving forward but perhaps fretting over a line on a chart isn't bestest method.

...

Or is that just a recipe for all the weight to pile back on again...?

Had been struggling to do any training and didn't want to post negatively, have really enjoyed reading the efforts of the posters and it's nice to see some newbies.

This thread is amazing and I hope more people find their mojo or desire and join in and share their success.

I'm now back with a bang after a few false dawns to niggles and strains.

12 spin classes, 2 yoga classess and 13 miles in my legs over 2 sessions.

All in 12 days.

6 weeks until my half marathon a little off, however I'll get there!!!
