30mins for me when I started PR , then 29 then 28 etc . Three years later im running around 24 - 22.40 most runs . I dont set myself silly targets I cannot reach ,just take little bits of time off here aand there  . I bet you can shave a minute off 28.15 if not more over the summer months .

Smashed my 10 mile PB by nearly 6 minutes yesterday in Blackpool - it was a fairly weak PB set on a hilly course nearly 3 years ago but nonetheless a PB is a PB.

On an unrelated note, I always assumed Blackpool was in Lancashire but as I left the town I saw a sign "Welcome to Lancashire". What is Blackpool in, then?

My knees no longer seem happy with park runs so I've just invested in a mountain bike off eBay and plan a change in exercise routine.

I used to go out on my bike a lot when I was younger and also while away as a student but it's been a while now so I suspect I am going to be walking funny for a while until I 'toughen' up.

Quite excited about picking it up and going for a ride.

Strained medial ligament; any offers on what exercise can be undertaken without damaging my knee?

Old age is a pain in the rs.

Go to a proper sports physio.

East Hull 20 mile today in 2h 57m 30s - very happy with consistent pacing up to the last 2 miles which were tough and I really had to dig in. What I know now is that I shouldn't go at this pace in my marathon next month.

Yes, lovely conditions. We saw the winner when he had done about 12 miles and we were between 7 and 8!

As close to making a promise as I dare, I've nothing planned on Saturday morning and my car is working again so Bradford Park Run here I come - be it rain, snow, heatwave or hangover.

 1hour 45 - astonishing.

Over 300 out of 420 runners went under 3 hours.

Looking forward to hearing how you get on - good luck!  Just had a look at last week's Bradford parkrun results, seems like a very inclusive event, even by parkrun standards, with loads of people over the 45/50 minute mark which I assume means walking the course.

First parkrun in a new age category for me on Saturday, probably my first "hard as possible" run of 2015 too.
