Reported on the Lions website, Mike Morrison is leaving at the end of the season and moving to Sydney. He is a joiner by trade and hopes to pick up more work there. He intends to play second grade rugby and if he returns would like to return to the Lions.

I'd like to thank Mike for all his sterling efforts over the time he has been with us and wish him every sucess for the future.

You can guarantee that you will always get 100% from Mike Morrison. Always glad to see his name on the team sheet. An unsung hero,and one of our best signings over the last two seasons.

It will be very sad to see Mike Morrison go, has made a big contribution in the last 2 years, but nobody can blame him for giving Australia a go!

One of Steve McCormack's favourite players as there is no doubting his toughness, discipline and all round professionalism - the kind of player that is often underrated but also the kind of player that every side needs. If he had been blessed with a bit more size perhaps he wouldn't be worrying about the state of the UK construction industry as he'd be playing RL full time.

It would be nice to see some news emerging of signings for 2013, other sides are getting ahead at the moment.

I back up what Alan says, Top player made up the size difference with the size of his heart. Very sad to see him go, but wish him all the best and hope everything works out for him because he deserves it. Top player top person
