And interestingly as a league we have not heard from any of our clubs/teams that they are wishing to revert back to a winter season despite:
1) at last months clubs meeting asking for feedback on this season so far (warts and all) and how we could look to improve moving forward as we know that things haven't gone as smoothly as we would have hoped - lots of feedback was received

and

2) giving a brief overview of the possibilities/probabilities for next season at last nights clubs meeting

Would love to know who all the clubs are who have approached BARLA on this.

Answers on a postcard please

That's not what he asked. He asked who were the clubs.

Says they have until August 24th to formally express their interest, after that I think eveyone will know if there is as much interest as there supposedly is and who the clubs are, but I think quite a lot will be in favour of it based on what people have said so far.

Would guess the clubs with open age in winter or returning to winter would likely be the ones with interest? Not in every case perhaps but in most cases.

He is a she for a start and my reply was to this bit, (How we could look to improve moving forward as we know that things haven't gone as smoothly) why my reply about stopping kids going away, because that is the problem, with kids it's not just the two week family holiday, they are often taken away by their grandparents for weekends etc.

The main problem seems to be at open-age and with the kids is the player availability due to other commitments on a weekend.

So every league that has decided to move to summer has been infiltrated by the RFL and are under there instructions at all times?

Does not get boring being you at times Marauder your rubbish is insulting to people who are capable league administrators who dont give a s*** about the politics you seem to constantly think about

Never boring being me, I have more to do, like going to the seaside, taking my son to museums, going camping, Doncaster races, watching live games, work etc......... Seem to be a lot more people starting to think my boring way.

The Cumberland League has switched to summer and remained part of BARLA for a start.

At least the Junior clubs in the North West now have an alternative option if the Summer season is not benefitting them as first thought it might.

Chairman so what are your thoughts on it? would you like to stay or move back?

I was all for the switch and still think we need to give it a least one more season. We all knew it would be different and it would take times for things to settle.
I do think this season has been very hard and our team has not been the same all season. Think we have used 41 players so far.
A teams have been nailed the most tho imo. our a team have had so many games called off for one reason or another but this weekend due to holidays and family commitments our a team is down to 12 men. Now do we call it off like most other teams or do we go take a hammering but least the players get a run out and the other team dont complain.

The standard has rugby has defo dropped tho, i do think this season should have been non relegation.

Can clubs afford to give it one more season, will the NCL clubs lose players to BARLA clubs, will NCL players move and form their own clubs within BARLA.
