I stated that we had not been asked by a single one of our Clubs to run a winter league and btw we did ask, formally, what our Clubs wanted before changing seasons and the vote was for a move to a Summer oriented programme.
You will also recall that Margaret asked if any of the Clubs present had approached BARLA to state a preference for a return to Winter .... you may remember that not a single Club said they had..
As for what the 16-18s are going to do I am not in a position to speak for the NW Youth League just the NW Counties 13-15s though Mr Manning clearly doesn't understand or realise that we are separate!
While contesting what others said or did, do you also recall several Clubs challenging your personal views .... does that ring a bell? When you were told you were being rude & bad mannered to guests, or when you were told in no uncertain terms by other attendees that all you did was you repeat the same things over and over again or when it was made clear to you that the issue was not solely, as you seemed to believe, about your single age-group?? Hmmmm.
And by the way, whilst I understand you would undoubtedly recognise smug as you certainly were trying to be on Monday (until challenged after which you were very quiet until you got behind your keyboard again), I am simply just stating, factually, what our Clubs have informed us.
If wheeling Charlie Bray out was the best you could do when numerous individuals raise numerous concerns and all you could respond with repeatedly was we have listened and will not do it again for him to then start accusing those who are not there to defend his accusations, for me to tell him he is wrong, turns out in your or anybody elses eyes to be rude then so be it...............and for the record, he was wrong, so it is he that is the liar is it not? and he has to my knowledge not retracted his remarks or apologised and probably won't to those he publically accused of being liars, but that does'nt matter does it?
Coincidentally, like a lot of other things, you conveniently left issues such as that out of your minutes did'nt you?
Condoning and encouraging Charlie Bray to spout incorrect facts openly in public before the member clubs is considerably worse than rude IMHO, but I suppose that is a measure of those that thought he would quell all the clubs concerns with his propaganda, very similar to yours actually Sam.
The main thing is the clubs now have a choice, an alternative, should they choose to do so and whilst you may have asked if anybody wanted to move to and Sept - May season and nobody said anything, if you think that constitutes all is well then you really are extremely wet behind the ears Sam, particularly when less than half the membership was present and as one member pointed out "They might not be here because they might all be wanting to meet BARLA!".
Puppet on a String..............................very apt and will be even more apt when the puppet master decides the strings he's been pulling of his puppets in the NWC no longer make them make the NWC dance like it used too
