“The partnership has placed the sport in a wonderful position to move into the next cycle of our commercial strategy in 2013.
“Innovation has always been at the heart of the Super League and this collaboration showcased the creativity and unity of our clubs. With a combined TV audience of over 25 million, huge attendance levels and a national and international expansion the sport is well-placed for an exciting future.”
The partnership came to an end mutually, after record breaking audiences on Sky Sports and after aggregate attendance figures look set to break the two million mark.
As part of the deal, Eddie Stobart lorries were decorated with rugby league themes advertising the competition. All 14 clubs and a group photo featured on over 100 Eddie Stobart lorries which travel across the countries motorway networks.

AboutBl00dy time IMO!
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward Ive climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of......

Absoluteley Mal, the deal was the workof a blithering idiot who has since gone back to ruin another sport, he seems like the Grim Reaper to sport but they can't see it.

The bit about reaching their target for blah blah blah is just another way of spinning it to the fans but it simply won't wash. What Nigel Wood needs to remember is that it doesn't matter what colour you paint a outhouse door everyone knows what's behind it! I'd love to see a cost and benefit anaysis of this deal, but I we will see one!

The danger now is that once you've bought Tower Bridge every spiv around will try to sell you a pup at every opportunity.

Pugwash.
