Amazing scenes at Clifton, where Bristol Sonics produced a gutsy display to overcome an off-colour Hemel Stags 19-8. Thoroughly deserved, and amazing given the disparity between the sides earlier in the season.

After losing our first 11 matches, we've now won 3 on the bounce. Amazing!

In the West of England league, Somerset beat Sonics A 30-odd 10, and Oxford thrashed Gloucestershire. Play-off next week at Somerset between the Vikings and Sonics for the right to take on the Cavaliers in the final in a fortnight.

Those results really open up NCL3, four points between the top 3 clubs, two points between 5th to 8th clubs - and now Bristol are zooming up the table ..... :)

Don't often post on these threads but, seeing as we won. Mancunians 40 - Burtonwood Bridge 18. This means we finish 4th in the table and have a semi-final next week.

Coventry Dragons 56-10 NEW Ravens

That result flattered the Dragons as the Ravens fluffed 3 tries in first 7 minutes and Dragons adapted to the conditions better. Ravens had 21 players on the team sheet which for an away game and just 6 weeks ago were struggling to get 13 fit players at the start line .. is good and shows that they have turned the corner and have fulfilled 11 of this seasons 12 fixtures, just hope we can start next season with these kind of numbers and be competitive all season and must thank Deano at Coventry Warriors who have come to our aid these last 5 weeks in boosting our numbers

Prestatyn was our holiday resort of choice as a nipper. Great to see them playing rugby league!
The soccer team and cricket ground was on that road down to Central beach. Do the Panthers play there?

See you lost Welshpool. Is this the first season for the local league. How has it been received.

I think they're Prestatyn and Rhyl Panthers and moved to Rhyl?

This is first year of the local league but Prestatyn Panthers, Conwy Celts and the sadly folded Montgomeryshire Marauders had been playing friendlies for a year for the Panthers case and 2 for the Celts and Marauders.

Tevi has certainly turned the Cav's fortunes around this season. Shame there is no full league table anywhere with the breakdown of W L D and points difference. I think we ended up 4th out of the 5 teams but that doesn't tell the whole picture of how close the 'West of England' division was this year.

Prestatyn did rename themselves this season to prestatyn and rhyl panthers, although, last season they played in rhyl, but this season they have played at prestatyn leisure centre by the school.

As said, we had a season of freindlies last summer but this is our first league season. We started with 5 teams:
P&r Panthers - prestatyn
Conwy celts - colwyn bay
Dee valley dragons - corwen
Bradley raiders - wrexham
Montgomery marauders - welshpool

As far as I am aware the marauders did not fold but they did withdraw from the league before it started due to lack of players but are hopeful of rejoining next year.

A new club was formed to replace the marauders on the fixture list.
Flintshire falcons - deeside.

The league finished:
panthers - celts - dragons - falcons - raiders
and the playoffs were as above.

Hth.
